As many of you know I started a discussion that got deleted. Mylot just sent me a message and I would like to share it with you. "We are greatly sorry for this inconvenience. We completely agree with you that this discussion should not have been deleted. We were able to retrieve your discussion and we reactivated it. It should be showing in your discussions started section. Let us know if you have any questions and again, we apologize for this inconvenience. Best Regards, myLot Staff" For anyone that has had this happen or may have this happen in the future, don't give up if you feel that you abide by all the rules. I just wanted to say thank you to all for your comments on my "Disheartened" post they were greatly appreciated. Mylot is totally AWESOME in my book. Thank you mylot for your speedy response.

Thank you I agree, and wanted to share something positive in this post about mylot. While I think that most think that mylot is great I have read a few posts that don't for one reason or another.

Thank you, I was glad to get it back also. They did respond quite quickly and the fact that they were able to reinstate it with all the responses was wonderful. :)

This is really nice to know, I didn't have any deleted discussions so far but it's reassuring to know that mylot admin do read all complaints and they are ready to re-examine things and correct errors/misunderstandings.. I know it's a terrible feeling when you feel injustice done to you, so congratulations for getting back your discussion :)

I wanted to share a positive experience as I have read some very negative things here at mylot. I do believe that they read all the mail and respond accordingly. This isn't the first response that I have received from them but it was definitely worth sharing with the mylot community. I'm glad that you haven't had a discussion deleted but nice to know that when it was done in error they are quick to correct. :)

They don't say why they deleted it in the fist place, but I was wondering if it was the title "What colour are you" If they where using a computerised search and delete program to look for posts that they did not like, and there are so many posts that they must be using an automated search system, the computer might have thought that your title was racist and automatically deleted it.

That's the conclusion that I have come to also. I will be more careful of the titles from now on, the title that I had wanted to use had already been taken by someone on my friends list yesterday, so I didn't want to be "copy cat" so I chose something else.

Wow! It's great to see that MyLot does actually listen to it's members. I wasn't sure that they did. Afterall, there are just so many posts every day, it's pretty hard to keep track! I guess if there is something that does bother us, it's worth drawing to their attention! Thanks, myLot! And thanks beaniefanatic for drawing it to our attention!

Obviously you must have submitted a valid discussion, so I am pleased tohear that justice has been done. I am also quite impressed by the honesty and integrity that Mylot demonstrated by their action. It would have been very easy for them to simply keep the mistake to themselves, so this vidication is very much to their credit.

I have so far found myLot to be reasonable, and responsive. I know others think that this is not the case. I think that what happened for you shows that it is indeed true. You got results. I appreciate the fact that you went ahead and shared your experience with anyone who wants to see it.

I know that others also think that mylot isn't listening and wanted to show that the opposite is true and so hence this post. :)

They really did get back your discussion. That's really good. MyLot had deleted my two past topics and I guess it' all my fault so I am not wishing to get them back, hahaha. It's really wonderfl how myLot is very active on making this site really helpful to others as well as they really value their users and they even has a direct contact with their members and keep them aware in any things that is new. We really should thank them becase they act in time.

Now this is great to hear for a change! I'm glad that MyLot reviews the complaints and correspondence and actually takes the time to correct the problem and notify you. I couldn't imagine why the discussion that you had described had been deleted. I'm glad that they admitted and corrected their error.

It was a discussion to describe yourself using colors. It was title "What color are you? Why?"

It's nice to know they admitted a mistake and retrieved your discussion. I am curious to know why it was deleted in the first place. Do they check before deleting a discussion or do the go by the other members reporting abuse?

I don't know if someone reported it or if the system picked up certain wording that caused it get deleted. They didn't give further specifics except that after reviewing it that it was deleted in error. I will be more careful from now on, regarding the wording of a title, as that is the only thing that makes sense for the reason of the deletion.

That is really good to know as you must have felt awful having a discussion you started get deleted when you felt it wasn't deserved. I'm glad you got it sorted out and like some others here I wonder what the post was, couldn't you put a link to it here for all of us who are dying to know??

I thought to put a link would be quite rude for those that weren't interested but since you asked I have attached a link for you. I did feel terrible, as I had spent so much time on the discussion, the past 10 days, tweaking it adding to it subtracting that kind of stuff. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/828163.aspx

That's great. I'm glad you contacted them and the reopened it for you. It is also nice to hear that it was no fault of yours for the discussion being deleted. How did mylot contact you? did they send you a private message here or did they send you an email? I have contacted them before and didn't get a response is why I ask.

Well I'm glad for you! So did you pm them or did they read the previous posting about this problem and react from that? Anyway I'm happy that they responded positively towards you. :)

I had pm'd them and so did one of my friends here that had also replied to the discussion. I think I'm most happy that I truly hadn't violated any of the rules. :)

Well good for you. Mylot deleted a topic of yours by mistake and you contacted them and they restored it back. That really makes me feel that the administrators and staff of mylot are really working hard to make mylot a great community to hang out. The staffs accepted their mistake and you were were able to tell them that they had made a mistake. Bravo!!
