i dont know if its just me, but i have found that recently i just read the discussion titles, then read the discussions, and then think nah i wont reply to that! i dont know wether im becoming incredibly picky or just really lazy lol!
but i dont understand myself! i mean im not really benifiting from just reading random discussions am i!? even if i just dropped in a a quick reply to all the discussions i read then at least id be earning a few cents.
does anyone else suffer from this?? whereby you just keep reading and not giving back?? maybe im just being wierd lol :S

some times , I navigate a lot here find
nothing interesting to respond - and leave
this site to work for a couple of technical forums . one of the forums has
recently launched wikimedia & I am trying
to contribute there ...

Don't worry you are not alone! I have a tendency to lapse into that state, not to worry though, it will pass.lol! But occasional relapse will happen. What I do is I log off for a few minutes, do something else, then log back in.
Want to hear something weirder? I have a tendency to write a reply to a topic, only to erase all of it and leave the discussion with no reply at all. Now who's weird?!lol!

byfaithonly, I know how that feels, the fear that you will be ganged up for your opinion, even though this is a supposed to be a public forum. I'm especially ticked off at the people who post asking for suggestions but if they don't like your suggestion, whoops there goes your ratings!
But I'm veering off the subject.lol!
I've always thought that it seems foolish that I just erase my responses even though like sirwillyam said, it'll be easier to just hit the post comment button. At least now I know that I am not alone!lol!

azriel not weird either - I've done the same thing, most times it's because from my heart I've responded but then my brain kicks in and figures what I've typed will upset a bunch so I delete it - and it's usually the longer responses too :(

I've been suffering with the same thing the past few days. I think it's because I've been so busy trying to keep up with a bunch of other things, and mostly because I'm getting frustrated with people constantly downrating me for things that shouldn't happen. I'm starting to find a lot of childish people here and I'm a bit timid replying to some discussions anymore.

i dont think its so much the fact that i fear getting a negative rating, i just stare at a discussion and then think about what id reply with and then just move on, i guess im just lazy lol!

I've found myself doing that with a couple here and there, but I've also found that it's because I need a break. It's like my mind blanks out lol.
I usually take a break, and grab a drink or something for a few minutes, then come back, read the same discussion again and I find that I think of something to say in response.
Maybe you need a break for a few minutes and then come back. Maybe that'll help.
I know it works for me.

I do! Lately I've found myself not responding so much. I don't want to type everything out, I guess I'm just lately. Maybe it's just a funk...I hope so at least!

Haha, well sometimes that happens to me...but a lot of the discussions are pretty interesting anyway. Sometimes I'm lazy myself! But you know, at least you earn some money for replying :) Better than a free forum!
Yeah, but my laziness is because of my knowing that I'm only earning a few cents for each, lol =[

I've found myself doing that every so often. I'll read discussions and then decide not to reply at the moment, but I generally do later on in the week, if I still feel the same way.

After being here for a certain length of time...one tends to do that.
Heck, I have often just stared and didn't even read. Just sat here staring...not really thinking anything. Then I tell myself that I really must read it...but then I don't and I have to walk away from the computer.
But I also have days that I answer often. I guess it just depends on the day. :)

yes i totally agree with you.daily i access mylot for around 3 hours but paticipate in just 10-15 discussions because its quite difficult for me to respond majority of discussions.i am very choosy about discussions.most of the discussions in mylot are useless and dint deserves quality response.i think besides earning its our moral responsibility to respond only quality discussions.

you are not alone men! me too this past couple of weeks i havent done anyhthing here thats why my earnings havent reach the minimum pay out. i just dont find any intersting topics here recently and like you i will just read some discussion but in the end of it i find myself nothing to say...i think im becoming more picky now since some of the topic here are just the same. i hope this will change cause if not im afraid my fun time is over here and mybe quit.

I don't think your weird - I've done this myself, particularly when I'm tired, it's like my brain just isn't functioning to the level of responding. I did this the other night, went through all my friends notifications, deleted a few I knew I couldn't respond to thinking in a little bit I would respond to the others. They were coming in faster than I was responding and realized I was just frustrating myself so gave up and went to bed.

I have the same problem sometimes I`m just not interested in the discussion or there is nothing I have to say on that particular topic .

I've been doing the same I think maybe because there are so many of the same discussions around and then some are just usless and some are hard to even understand and then I wonder what is the use of replying.
I am finding it harder to find good discussions to reply to too

You are not alone at all coz I'm doing just that. Nowadays it feels like ever to actually make a response. Meanwhile I would about everything ranging from cats to cooking! I guess I'm rally lazy and not just picky. I also noticed that if I keep bumping into a discussion on a particular list more than 3-4 times that's when I respond to it..lol Call me crazy!

I only respond to discussions where I can add something to... I become annoyed by discussion # so & so about the same topic. Also, all those so called discussions that are not really discussions don't get any response from me... I am sort of picky, and I am way behind you number of postings! So don't worry, it's natural ;-)

this is a little off the topic of my discussion, but.... to get alot of responses try adding lots of friends because people often first of all reply to friends discussions, also try to comment back on your responses, this keeps your discussion more active, and also encourages people to respond as they see that their reply will be appreciated....

keep battling on, you'll begin to make a name for yourself on here, and people will look out for your discussions, and when that happens you will constantly get endless replies!
