If you saw someone on a busy highway pulled over and changing a tire or having car problems, would you pull over and help them?? Not knowing what their problems were or if they had already called someone or if you could even help them, especially with the traffic being so heavy on the highway, what would you do? Would you drive by (as so many do) or stop and give them whatever help you could provide at the time??

It would depend on who the motorist was. I know this isn't always the case but if it's a women I will often stop but I won't for a man - I feel safer with it being a women. I have done this before and felt good after I did it.
LOL the last time I did this I got out of my car to go to the other car and when I closed my car door the doors automatically locked on me. Yep there sat my car running, doors locked, and my spare keys at home. Luckily a man I know stopped also and gave me a ride home to get my other keys. Bless his heart - he was late opening his store because of me and my helping someone neither of us knew.

I am first aid and CPR certified. It would be irresponsible of me to not stop and render aid if needed. I have made a practice of only stopping during daylight hours though. I usually stop and assess the situation by asking if help has been called, is further help needed but I also approach cautiously. I carry my keys in my hand because they can be used as a weapon if the situation turns out to be a trap of some kind. At the very least, if I am very uncomfortable with the situation, I will not get out of my car but I will call the police and report the situation to them.

I have stopped and helped with a call, and I have had occassion to give help. More often, I have called at the next exit, and given the authorities information about motorists in distress.

I would definitely go to help them, a helping hand can make all the difference. I've been in situations so many times growing up where we needed a hand and no one would stop. it was horrible and i would never wish that on anyone, no matter who they are. If someone needed a hand, even changing a tire, i would be there in a second. Busy Highway or not!
