Have you witnessed an accident?

I was reading myLot discussions this morning drinking my coffee and enjoying the peace and quiet. The birds were chirping the town was just starting to wake up. All of a sudden i hear a crash and i look out the window to see a white pickup truck flipping over and over. I called hubby to tell him I was going outside and for him to call 911. When i got outside there was a lady my age (not telling how old I am) in shock sitting in the drivers seat of the pick up. I did not see the second car until i got outside but there was a little girl and her mom in the van. I felt so bad for all of them. That crash would have brought me to tears if my kids were involved. Have you ever witnessed an accident? By the way this just happened an hour ago.

Yes, I have witnessed several very bad accidents. I hate accidents, especially when someone is killed.
I saw a lady killed in front of our home once, she was walking across the street when someone was going to fast and hit her.
It was awful.
Another time a drunk driver wrecked right in front of us, he nearly ran us off the road before flipping his truck several times.

I feel so bad for the husband who has called me several times. he doesn't understand english and I can't speak spanish well enough for him to understand me. I can tell in his voice that he is worried about her. I'm going to take him up to the hospital myself when he gets here.

An hour ago wow.I never witnessed an accident,it's more like that people who dont witness an accident are the ones that get involved it an accident.

Very true. I have only witnessed two. The other one was at my daughter's school. We were there at night for the Halloween festival and there was a guy standing in the road with barrells directing traffic because the blocked part of the roads for the hay ride. A lady came flying through the barrels and hit him. OMG that scared me to bad. And the poor man was in a state of shock. he calmly pulled out his ciagrette and lighter and preceded to have a smoke. Hello! I took it away from him. LOL! It turns out he had broken vertabrae and some big lacerations that needed stitches but he was ok.

Yes, I have seen several over my life. The worst one was when I was on a country road and this lady was speeding and passing over the double yellow line. Well, another man started tailgating her and as they both tried to negotiate a sharp curve, crashed into each other and the truck flipped over. The lady had to be life-flighted out of there, though she was walking an talking when I last saw her. I guess it was her boyfriend's car, now totaled The guy in the truck was OK.
I have seen other ones, mostly people bumping each other from behind. I've also seen pedestrians/bicyclists hit, but not severely injured.
