100 Foot Extension Cords??????

I just don't seem to be able to find enough 100 foot extension cords. The router has a range of 300 to 500 feet. Let me explain.
I have a wonderful laptop computer that I love. It has wi-fi so I am not confined to a single place such as a desk or even the house. The children have not charged the battery properly and I probably need to replace the battery or the children. But replacing the battery is expensive so I just run the power cord.
The normal distance from the computer to the outlet is about 10 feet with the power cord but I want freedom. More freedom! Lots of freedom!!! I want to go out into the yard now that the weather is getting nice. I have been hunting through the house looking for my husband's 100 foot extension cords. I have found 2 extension cords so far. That will get me about 210 feet. I just know he has one more extension cord around here somewhere.
It has to be here somewhere. But where?? I know he has it hidden. I have looked in the utility room, the barn, the closets and still no cord.
Oh!! I just had a thought. If I also add in a surge protector bar and cord that will get me another 5 or 10 feet.
Well, I will keep looking and when I find it, I am headed out to the backyard to get a tan while I surf the net. Wish me luck.

Good luck finding the cord. My husband likes to place things I need in places that are the last place I would even think of looking, specially high places, as I'm not very tall. Do you have high shelves in your garage? If so, I would check there, as I found my 100 foot cord there last week.

Good idea, I will get the ladder out right now. I also am very short. (vertical challenged) I am under 5 foot tall.

I believe that I've heard somewhere that the further you get from your power source the worse your display will be.
For me, playing around with that many long extension cords and a sensitive, expensive piece of equipment would be folly.
Good luck to you.

That is an interesting piece of information. If my battery would charge properly, I would not be connected to any outside power source like a cord. My battery will no longer charge properly because my children would not allow it to fully charge each time. Before this happened, I had been in many places where no power source was around and with the radio signal that my computer puts out, I was picking up several signals to connect to. I have no idea what the distance between me and the signal source was but I have never noticed any distortion in my display. Of course, my laptop is very new and has a lot of enhancements. I wanted more. Maybe on my next laptop.
