How Do You Feel When You Receive a Best Response and .....

yes I always say thanks either on the discussion or a PM , whether it's the only response they have or not , I think its lovely the have given a best response at all , I also think there must be a lot of people on My Lot who have never given one and I that's is a real shame , I get all excited when I see I have a best response , a nice feeling don't you think ?.I hope they are all counted in the earnings , they should be xx

Hehe, when its the only one I know that user gave it to me out of no choice..lol I still do thank that person. Many times friends send in discussion links with no responses and say that the one who answers them will get a best response, so if you are the only one then you are awarded with the BR. I'm sure mylot doesn't care as long as it has been marked by the one who started the discussion.

I know there are days when my replies/comments are not the best,but they are the best I could do at that time so I do not worry if I receive a "best responce" or not.I do appreciate receiving them,but in the same breathe I do not TRY to accumulate them.I have read some replies along with the one I may have put in and admit that there are some replies that are much better than mine,but sometimes it is all in the timing as well as quality.

One response or 100, does it really matter so much anyway, I've been given a best response which I'm pretty sure wasn't the best, and other times I'm sure mine was the best and didn't get it. One of the problems is that some members don't wait very long before dishing out their best responses, I now wait several weeks before giving out Best, unless its clear from the response that its unlikely to be beaten. I don't always say thanks either, although I suppose that it is only polite to do so.

I believe it still counts, because it shows up in our best responses. I don't even remember to go back and thank people sometimes...my bad. I do appreciate every best response I get..and yes sometimes I think I didn't deserve it ..but I figure we are all motivated differently to choose what we feel is the best..lol

Well there are mixed reviews from me on this, Yes it was the ONLY response but then again it goes back to quality not quantity. You took the time to respond to the discussion with "your best" advise, opinion, thought or story? My thought on that is yes you deserve that whether you were the only one of one of the hundreds that respond. Your reply would have more than likely been the same regardless right? So Yes I think it should count and yes I think you need to say a thank you for their taking that into consideration and voting for you anyway. Having only one reply they could have just ignored it? but they obviously read something that made them feel like awarding that to you? Enjoy it - I am sure it was well deserved.

i feel satisfied with my work and i feel like doing more discussions so i can get more best responses. haha (probably)

I always try to respond to the best of my ability but sometimes after I have posted the response, I think of a better one which I could have made. I really appreciate receiving best response even if it is the only one made. At least it shows that the person has taken thr trouble to rate me. I have never thought about myLot and whether or not they count a best response even it is the only response to a topic. I must add too, that I am guilty of not thanking everybody who gives me best response and it is only when people mention it that I realise I should have done it.

They should count it. Why not? If it's the only response, it has to be the best response. Besides, the discussion could pick up interest somewhere along the line and garner 20 new responses and you would still have the best response and no one would be wiser. If you usually thank the person for a best response, I'd say do it here also. I've gotten best responses when there were only two or three responses and it's still nice. Heather, I don't usually thank the person who gives me a best response. I was going to go back and do it but I couldn't remember the few that I had thanked. So let me take this opportunity to thank you for the "best Responses" you've given to me.

It doesn't worry me if a Best Response I receive was the only one. I would still thank the person who gave it to me. If I only have one response to a discussion, if the response was good enough, I still give it. At least someone had made an effort to respond. I have no idea whether or not My Lot would count it as a best response. I have given up trying to figure out exactly how My Lot works.

I don't know how others would respond, but I would still thank them. I normally wait to do best response myself until after I've given the discussion a chance, but if I only rec'd one response, yes I would still thank them. By the way, when you respond I have always found your comments very useful and from the heart.

i think, i cant explain it in words but its such an awesome feeling man, when you go n check you responses and suddenly you see that there is a best response selected from your written responses, its such a cool feeling. i just love to see, but there are very less people who like what i write , or i think, i must not be writing up to that mark where i can be rated or selected as a best response. but then too, what ever till now i have recieved is good and i hope people will give me again some other day.

I am always honored, since I know my responses are never really the best. But it sure does give me the warm fuzzies as they say...:}

Yes they will count it even if it is the only response. I hae got plenty of response when it is just 1 post. but I think a person should wait before they give the best response wait untill you at least get 10 or 20.

To me, a best response is a best response, whether there were 100 or only 1 given. I'm sure myLot counts each one you're given...well, at least I hope they do...LOL.

I would still be happy with it. I know I've marked someone with best response because, after a month or two, no one else has responded. So, they truly have the best response just by responding.

I'm not sure what Mylot does with or about it but yes,I still say thank you
