Woo Hoo!!! He is on American soil today. Yesterday, he was in Scotland and I got to talk to him over the instant messenger while he was on a layover. I just talked to him a few minutes ago. He was in Dallas, Texas waiting for the next plane to take him to Killeen, Texas. From there he will report to Ft. Hood. He is planning to spend a day or two there. Then he will fly home to Michigan around the 29th or 30th. We should have an update feature here on MyLot. It would have made it easier to update my previous posting about him coming home. Oh well. I am going to let him read all the postings from the first posting and this posting. You can leave your messages for him here for the next couple of days. Thank you for sharing this experience of life with me. A special thank you for all of those serving their countries and trying to make this a better world for the rest of us.

He is on leave. He will be here about a week and then he is going to Arizona to see more of the family there. Then he returns to Iraq to complete his tour of duty. This is his second tour in Iraq and trust me, it is not any easier the second time around. Thank you so much for posting here. It really means a lot to me. My son sat down last night and read a lot of the postings that have been left for him. He was surprised that people from all around the world would come together and wish him well.

welcome home !! My cousin just returned as well. From the deepest part of my heart I thank you for your bravery. Without men like you, we would not enjoy the freedom we now so easily take for granted. You are a man among men and truly appreciated. Enjoy your time at home, spend plenty of relaxing time with family & friends. They should feel proud to have you in their lives. As I am proud of my family and friends as well. On a final note, may your life be blessed with happiness, health, and love. As you truly deserve it !!

I have other postings that are newer than this one. I wrote this discussion 3 years ago. My son has come home and left a few times since this was written. He is now completely discharged from the service.
