Yes, I would like to tell my family about the catestrophe because earlier they get to know, they can make arrangements to face with the hardships. I would not mind losing my job for the sake of my family.

i understand. thank you. but what if you would kow that this is a situation that your family can deal with easily because they are already preperd for it and they just did not know the exact time it would happen. will you do the same? and lose your job?

If I worked in a news room and they told me not to tell my family about the catastrophe or I would lose my job, then I would definitely let my family know what is going on. I want to protect my family from any harm. I can always get a new job later. Keeping a secret for a company is not worth risking the lives of your family. I don't think any company, even if it is government, put that kind of weight on a persons shoulder.
