Should there be a limit to how much homework a teacher sends home with a student each night ? Does a teacher have the rigth to send home homework that requires your participation ? And does a teacher have a right to have your...

hockeygal4ever Honestly, I think many of the teachers have taken "homework" and turned it into a break for them to teach. When children spend 8 hours at school and then come home with 3 more hours of homework something is wrong. I'm sorry, my children go to school to be...

I want to get this off my chest. Cho Seung-Hui killed 32 people at Virginia Tech. It was an evil, violent act and he should be condemned for it. However, I'm a little annoyed at the way people are reacting. Over and over,...

Galena I don't think that the wierd kids should have to be normal. I was one. the teachers used to tell me to make more of an effort to fit in, but why should I. I only wanted to be left alone by the scum. I didn't want them to like me, I just longed for them to...

MakeItCount I agree with you somewhat. While some pople have responded that being bullied doesn't turn you into a murderer (and that is certainly true, most people can withstand this kind of stuff)it can't have helped. Cho was a psychologically weak young man and we can't...

I'm sitting here watching an episode of House MD, and he brings up a good point. A man on death row develops a heart problem and needs treatment to stay alive. Should they do so? I am torn on the issue myself. The man is...

Centregeek You can tell your in-law that professional athletes sometimes take ballet lessions to improve their balance. Gymnastics is an olympic event in which men also compete and that many talented men pursue music, ballroom dancing, etc. as careers. There is nothing...

Jennifer16628 I am with you completely on this one. I really dislike being asked what I do for a living....sometimes I feel like saying I am a nurse, a maid, a teacher, a psychologist, a financial planner, a landscaper, and a cook (among other things). Unfortunately all...

mememama I'd be behind the school board. It seems like a nice school where they want to educate their students. That's way better than a lot of other schools where they don't give a darn what happens to them. I think if anything, I'd be helping them find more...

SirMattias The song is "Mad World" by Gary Jules. Most of us remember it from the movie Donnie Darko. Certainly is a haunting little piece, disturbingly catchy and easy to relate to. Hope that helps. :)
