Does anyone have any crockpot recipes they'd like to share. The smell of food cooking for hours is so soothing. Especially when I don't have to stand over it LOL

ravinskye One of our favorites: A bag of obrien style hashbrown potatoes, a kielbasa, a can of cream of mushroom soup (could use other soup since you don't like mushrooms) a cup of sour cream and a cup of shredded cheddar. (we add extra cheddar since we like it cheesy)...

When I first joined I thought it was a place where you earned a few pennies for carrying on discussions with friends and others. The more I'm here it looks like we're supposed to ask questions and reply to others to earn a few...

Heather Echola Some of us do carry on more of a discussion than others do, and the fact is, if a discussion has more "chatter" it tends to earn more. It takes all of us replying back and for to make a discussion, though. Sometimes you do get an extra point for a comment. We...

peavey I'm surprised you haven't had more replies. Crockpot cooking is so easy and good! One of my favorite "recipes" is to put about a cup and a half of rice in the bottom of the crockpot, mix a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup with water and pour it into the...

peavey It's been a long time since I've had deer meat, but we used to slice it, then roll in flour and salt and fry it like chicken fried steak.

Does anyone have a easy, delicious potatoe soup recipe? If so please share.

dutchess67 Oh, I forgot! You will definitely need to add more water or your soup will turn into a pudding! lol... After you make this once, you can adjust it to suit your tastes, but I really think that if you try this, you'll love it!

dutchess67 I have a wonderful potato and leek soup recipe that is fantastic. You will need about 6 to 8 medium potatos and as many leeks. You will also need about 3 tablespoons of butter, 2 cups of sour cream, about 3 tablespoons of all purpose flour, chopped chives...

Heather Echola We were talking around the table in the teacher's lounge and a substitute said to put a pork roast in the bottom of a crock pot, dump a can of refries over it, and then 16-24 ounces of salsa. Cook all day, break up or shred the meat at the end of the day,...

JoyfulOne I get deer meat all the time from the hunters that hunt on my farm. I like to make it into a stew quite often. I don't usually eat it unless it's mixed in with something else as sometimes (not always) it tastes gamey. When I do eat like a deer steak or...

Heather Echola I find that I am much more intersted in fruits and vegetables than anything else, when the weather turns nice. I do not want sauces, and I do want grilled meats. It is bedtime, but I am making myself hungry.

GuateMom I like to eat salads. Especially potato salad or pasta salad. :) I make my pasta salad with lots of fresh herbs, heaps of tomatoes and cucumber and red peppers so there really isn´t that much pasta by the end of it.
