yash_sap I would suggest you go for Dell, HP Compaq or Acer. I have bought Dell recently and its really wonderful. Good look, good performance and also cheaper compare to other. Go for dual processors for better performance.

yash_sap Ya. Actually it depends on which edition of Windows Vista you are using. For Home edition 512 mb is fine, but for other editions I refer you better go for 1gb. For best performance I think 1gb is a must
