vhansen No I don't think so.The girl may have thought he was just trying to pick her up and that was why she was offended.Or shy could have been shy and not known how to respond to it so she just walked off.A simple smile and thank you would have been suffecent.

icequeen No....I don't think it is rude. I have had guys make comments to me as well. However...It does make you feel a little weird as a woman....and you aren't sure what to do...It seems like you just feel like it is another come on line...so you tend to ignore...

ElusiveButterfly Some people get paranoid if a total stranger walks up to them and says what he/she may seem to be nothing more than a compliment. It takes them off guard. She may not have been offended, but totally freaked out.
