I travel often by plane. Till now I was very lucky and I didn't experience any problems apart from ears pain. Did you have any problems while flying?

Ace visited the groomer yesterday and came home looking like a new and much smaller dog. I am always amazed by how much of him is hair. I'm glad for his sake that the weather hasn't turned cold yet here. He can still go outside...

Almost two weeks ago we filled the gas tank, had the oil changed on our van and hit the road. Now fourteen delays later, and 9,630 km (5,816 miles) later we are back home again. It will be a few months before we have another...

We had almost a full week with higher than average temperature. In this country we have not the habit to have the temperature over the 90 F (33 Celsius) and almost no house and apartment has air conditioning. Keeping the...

PaintsOnSlate I love your photos. We had a similar summer and even the early fall, its been really hot although this week has been cold. We know it will snow soon and we are prepared. Even in cool Canada the average person has air conditioning in their homes. Last week we...

My last discussion was about a young woman who had no idea about where Canada was. I think it is easy to forgive her. Can you believe this weather map....I was looking at weather for a Canadian town... I'm appalled! No wonder...

Water flowing through a floating faucet is definitely an interesting sight to behold. I really like the look of a floating tap fountain. The floating tap fountain in the photo is located in Santa Galdana, Menorca, one...

Do you still use a wok for stir frying? I think if you have one, you really should use a wok on a gas stove not an electric one. Gas is far more easier to adjust the flame, electric is a pain to me.

Happy Wednesday everyone. Hope all is going well. I had a 25% off coupon to one of our major chain thrift stores so I went yesterday morning despite being sleep deprived and picked up a good haul of 6 books! I love shopping at...

October has started and Autumn is showing its colors. Some trees are already dropping their leaves, while others are turning red and yellow, painting the hills with nice colored spots. I have been grocery shopping in Italy...

When my mother died, I ended up with a lot of her bits and pieces including this ‘thing’. Does anyone know what it is or what it if for? It is like a giant set of tweezers and I think it might be to stretch the fingers of gloves...

I woke up early to see how Luna was and to give her her antibiotic. It took me a while to put it literally in her throat and now I´m wondering if a red line in the skin of one of my fingers are Luna´s teeth. She let me pet her...

With shovel in hand, I have removed close to 70 daylily plants from our gardens. The former owner of our home had to have been a daylily nut. Daylily plants have really long roots with tubers at the end of the root. Those...

PaintsOnSlate Both my husband and I are retired, but being an artist I still paint and sell my work. My husband is still working in his field and loving it - just once a week. We both still make good money and we go south in the winter. I love camping and do that with my...

PaintsOnSlate Really he said it is to annoy us? That is too funny. If he was mine I would ignore his throat and he will stop, if not ask your doctor for some help. It sounds like you have a very smart child. And that is a good thing. Good luck. My children are all adults...
