Along with the grated ginger in hot water, the easiest way to quick releif from sore throat is to gargle with salt and hot water. Dissolve about 7-8 gms of sea salt in 100 gms of hot water, and gargle deep inside the throat with this. Be careful that the water is not too hot to cause burns, but it should definitely be more than just warm.
