Hi there.
I'm not quite sure if we're on the same side of the planet but personally, I hail from the tropical country Philippines. Honestly, I haven't eaten durian fruit straight from a tree but I'm familiar with its taste because I've already eaten durian through the candy delicacies sold in the local market and through the ones given to me as "pasalubong".
Anyway, I have to admit that I'm a sweet tooth and I do love sweet foods specially cakes, pastries, ice cream, chocolates, including durian. But what I'm curious about is regarding what other people claim that this fruit bears a foul odor, like you said. Is it really that awful?
Regards and God speed.

Me too!!! I Love durians and I missed it so much. I hate durians the last time I went home and wow it was so good. Especially during the durian season, durians taste especially nice. I like those from Thailand. I prefer yellow meat. I like all kinds of durian deserts too but not those made from durian essence. :D

Since then, i start tasting the durian and i fall in love with it. i like the smell and taste of durian, i wish i can live in a country that i can eat everyday. Haha...Happy lotting!
