I am actually a gay man, and I dont feel the need to broadcast it at all. Im not feminine, and if I didnt tell you that I was gay, you would not know. I think that we have to remember that just because some people like to flaunt their sexuality, that does not mean that we are all that way. Just like with straight people, once in a whil you run across one of the "hyper masculine" men who feel the need for the world to know that they are man hear them roar. That does not mean that all straight people are like that. People are all different, and that is a good thing in my opinion. If you are gay, straight, masculine, feminine, male or female. To me it is all good.

I'm gay. And I agree with you. I hate it when other gay guys flaunt their sexuality. For me being gay means I am spending my personal and home life with someone who I love... who happens to be a guy. The only thing I want to prove to anyone else is that gay people can be normal. When I see some fruity queer swoosh past me talking with a lisp and wearing make-up I just want to trip them. They give the rest of us a bad name. Its that same reason I hate gay pride parades. They are an embarassment. How are straight people ever going to take us seriously when you get a bunch of naked gay guys running through the streets throwing glitter everywhere? It really bothers me. Thanks for bringing this up :)

Wasn't it a bunch of "fruity queers" that started the Stonewall riots? That started a movement that benefits us today? I don't skip down the streets and I live in a very straight suburban neighborhood as an openly gay man but certainly don't loathe other members of my community cause they are different than myself. But that's just me.I guess i don't have anything to prove.

Yeah it does seem that way but, I think its because of the fear gay people have that others won't like them so before they start a friendship with them they tell them that way if the person doesn't like the they have a chance to tell them before they get hurt by the end of friendship when the gay person tells that person. Its also because they want to be honest from the start and not have rumours happen some time along the lines.

I'm not gay and I'm not so much of a gay supporter, but I think they feel a need to broadcast it because while they feel it's right, they also feel it's not fully accepted, hence the need to get it off their chest in the most appropriate way.

I dont know any gay people{I dont think} But gay people do seem to be extremely happy when they are openly gay...So as long as a person is happy and not harming anyway, then being proud no matter what you are is a very good thing.

i think some broadcast it coz they just want to express their feelings...they want everyone to know so don't need to hide it anymore....they broadcast it coz they want everyone to accept them for who they are...they are also human, they also have feelings...and so why should we be against them? we should accept them for who they are.
