I've already got two that have worked quite well: the bookstore and three or four local libraries. I visit a large bookstore at least once a month to look at, but not necessarily buy. In addition to checking out books pertaining to my business and writing interests, I browse other aisles as well, such as home improvement, crafts and history/social science. I'll also visit the magazine rack. Just seeing what is available helps me to get ideas, especially when I find myself questioning certain topics or titles. The same thing is true of my library visits. I head for the new books first, glancing at nonfiction titles before moving on to fiction. I also make it a point to have a pen and pad with me to catch ideas as they occur to me.

I do not need anything or anyone to inspire me or give me ideas. I get them from my imagination, by hearing a phrase, seeing something on Tv or out on the open, by watching two or three people, hearing some music, thinking what if this happened. I do not need a pen and paper (because I have a good memory and I cannot write that long without hurting my wrist.) So one does not need to go to the library and browse through books. One has their whole life experience, what they learn from others, and what is in their mind.

I think having some sort of means to jot down ideas whenever you get them is crucial. Unfortunately, I get a lot of my best ideas right as I'm falling asleep or in the shower, both of which are possibly the worst times to try to transcribe ones thoughts. :) Delani whatudidtoday.com

Great ideas scribel. My inspirations are found in every day living. Just reading headlines, watching the news, and here at mylot. Browse through the library of ideas here on mylot and you can come up with great inspiration. Some very interesting topics to write about here.

My sources of inspiration... Depending on the subject, could be a music. A music that I like would bring me inspiration. If we're talking about poetry, I can just think of the girl I love. She'd bring me all the inspiration I need to write a poetry.
