just some random questions on VC. 1. what brand and model do you use? 2. where did you buy it from? 3. what made you decide on that brand? 4. how often do you use your VC?

I use Philips vacuum cleaner, using bag type as my wife think it's more hygiene. I bought it from Philips staff shop. Bought this brand because I can get staff price. Recently never use it anymore as I got part-time maid cleaning my house twice per month. My wife doesn't like me to vacuum during night time as she finds it noisy so I use Scotch-Brite to clean the floor lor.

scotch brite is the mop thing right? i oso got, given by my dad. it's like mee pok mop. haha, supposed to be anti bacterial. but think VC is still better in picking up hairs and dust quickly.

haha. have already considered that and decided not to invest. Heard of people who bought it though. Must say it's a very good idea. For those with no time. And appeals in its cute factor as well! But ultimately, think nothing quite beats the cleanliness of doing it yourself! And the weird satisfaction that comes from doing housework, tiring and laborious though it is!

I used to use the brand national when I was living with mum... the VC is still working fine. Bought from neighborhood shop eons ago... cannot remember which shop liow. Why National? cos it was a trusted brand long time ago. The company has since been bought over by Panasonic... so National no longer exists. Usually used during spring cleaning and that once in a while dusty clean up. now shifted to new home, looking for a new VC... eyeing the Philip, bagless one... price is a little on the steep side, but it looks like a keeper ;)

hmm... i am also considering that. specifically the FC 8716 which is the cheapest bagless one. red colour and got a clear jug to collect dust. apparently bagless saves cost but then also can be quite dusty to empty (dust will fly around). yah no more national standing fans too. and apparently panasonic fans now made by KDK. sold under different brand for cheaper. same factory, different brand, different price. really just paying for the name? wondering whether i really need a VC. if i buy think will use at least once a fortnight. think need lah hor?
