Do you have a guardian angel? I have heard it said that we all do. What are your experiences of them?

Well, although I am not too vocal about it, I do believe that I have a guardian angel, who was placed on this earth to help protect and guide me through out my life.......I was 13years old when I got into a serious car accident with a cousin & her friend.Which left three people seriosly injured and ane person paralized. The car flipped three times before coming to a stop! I was in the back seat, while my cousin and a friend were in the front. My cousin had broken her ribs and the car had practically mangled her whole body! Her friend almost tore her face on the winsheild glass, she had to get several plastic surguries to make her look as normal as possible (it was that bad!) There was blood everywhere and screams! I on the other hand walked away with~out a scratch.....I crawled out if the back window, which had an opening that I could barley fit....while I my cousin and her friend screamed in agony! The other people in the second car was a mother & son, the mother was critically injured and her son shattered his spinal cord, which left him paralized. Even the cops at the scene couldn't belive that I was part of the accident! When the cars first hit, I felt like someone was over me just holding me, almost like I was floating through out the flips....it's something that I can't explain but has always amazed me. Since that point on I have always felt and believed that there is someone watching over me.

it certainly sounds as though you were watched over, but what about others in the crash? Do some people not have them? or was their angel having a day off? that is my problem with the concept blessed be

I remember when I first became interested in "other-world" things that I was told that I had a guardian angel in the form of an young Arab boy, but I got to admit that I have never felt I could quite gel to it. Years later, when I first started getting into Zen, I had an awareness that it's more like a part of myself that is "teaching me" various things in life, and once I could transcend my intellectual, rational self, I would merge and become one. One day, my zazen seemed much deeper than it had been on other days and suddenly I felt "me" looking at me and both began to disappear to leave well.... me. I'm not sure I'm explaining the unexplainable very well here! LOL. I'll try and explain a bit more... Where before I would have loved there to be some sort of spiritual guide or mentor, now I saw no need for it at all. I'd been drawn into a belief-system, that was now sort of redundant. It had been useful at the time, it's like, you have stop trying to wear the clothes you wore as a child, you'll strangle yourself with them.:-)

i think this makes more sense to me than most. I have often been aware of something around me but never sure what it was and have certainly never seen anything like. Blessed be

Yes, I have a philosophy of taking what comes. I have had clients who been really screwed up because they saw a UFO and nobody believed them. The fact that nobody would believe them seemed more upsetting that the UFO. When asked if I believed them, the only way I could answer was I could accept they had had a profound experience, and the main task was to realise that they were not on this earth to win approval of others. Another case of "be here now" for the past, together with the UFO was no more. BTW, I could love to see a UFO. :-)

I believe everyone has guardian angels, perhaps some more then others according to need but I also think they tend to stay to themselves and not be obvious to us. I'm not saying we never see them but many people never will, not everyone, yet that doesn't mean they aren't with us. I haven't ever physically seen my guardian angel, but I do believe I must have one as I've been saved from many close calls and often given a feeling of peace.

There is a practice called channeling what talks about angels and other ethereal creatures and the ways to contact them. I have never met angels, may be this is the invisible power what protects us, but it`s not necessary to see or feel it. Some people believe that angels are servants of God. Some think that God contacts with us without to use angels.

You're right. We all have guardian angels that in addition to our spirit guides, have our backs. The only problem is that for most of the time, we can't see them. I do believe, however, that guardian angels can sometimes appear as humans who help us out during crisis times. There have been stories about such happenings. I also believe that I was helped by a guardian angel one night, when someone approached me from behind, pushed me down and snatched my handbag. Amazingly, I wasn't hurt and even more amazing, the police returned my bag, intact, except for the twenty-dollar bill that I had placed inside of it. My guardian angels were most definitely involved somehow!
