Do you like time travel books? :) My favorites are Time Traveler's Wife and a book written by Stephen Fry (I forgot the title) where a scientist turned back into time in order to make sure that Hitler was never born. Have you read any of those? What books involving time travel did you like?

A book having to do with the xxth digit of the Pi value and its relation with no less than the universe sounds interesting too :) Thank you for your recommendation :)

Night Watch by Terry Pratchett. it's one of the discworld books, in which Commander Vimes of the City Watch is accidentally transported back in time to when he first joined. at the same time, the criminal he was in the process of arresting at the time, was sent back and killed the man who taught him most about his job. so back in time, alongside his younger self, he has to make sure his future will still happen. he has to make sure the young him turns out right, so his future will be the same, to make sure the criminal, who realises what's going on, doesn't deliberately destroy it. I can't really describe it, but I really enjoyed it.

I feel so bad. I actually read this book but I don't remember anything like that happening :( Some memory :( (or was it a book in the Night Watch series? I know there are many of them and I only read about 4; I probably didn't read the one you're talking about :) )

Jack Finney's Time After Time. His sequel Time and Again wasn't as good, but still very good.

I like the book The Time Machine by H.G. Wells. It is the only book that I know of that deals with the future but not the past.
