I actually haven't seen this one yet but now that I've heard some feedback on it I think I may just watch it today on demand. I love being able to watch new movies out without having to go rent them or buy them. I can sit in my living room in my underwear and order a movie lol.

I wonder if the reason you thought the ending was dissapointing was because it was sad. I just saw the movie today, I dvr'd it. It was on at some ridiculous hour last night and I've been wanting to see it forever. However I did not wish to be awake that long; yay dvr! As lots of good movies are coming on on HBO or Cinemax, I decided to order both of them as my cable company is running a bargain sale, both channels and all their subsidiaries for ten bucks a month. I may be poor but I think I have an extra ten bucks. Anyway, back to the movie, I thought it was really well done, although slow in the beginning, and I'm eager to read the book now and see what they changed, as they always do whenever they convert a book to a movie.

yeah, It was very sad though, I almost cried a couple of times, but I liked it. I recommended it too. The end was a little disappointing, but it was pretty good, the saddest part was when the old guy saved their lives by giving up his, omg! I almost cried!

We had heard a lot of wonderful reviews of this movie, but when we finally sat down and watched it, neither my fiance nor I cared for it very much. It was fairly slow going, I thought, though Michael Caine did give a nice performance.

A copy of my review for the film... CHILDREN OF MEN is a loose adaptation of the P.D. James novel and was directed by Alfonso Cuaron. The story centers around a former activist, Theo, who lives in the year 2027 where most of the world has collapsed and the human race has become infertile. A group of rebels has found a pregnant woman and it becomes Theo’s task to deliver her to safety and possibly save the existence of the human race. Theo is played by British actor Clive Owen. Other big names appearing in the film are actress Julianne Moore and actor Michael Caine. However, Clive is the main focus with Moore and Caine’s characters, though essential and enriching components to the plot and Theo’s development, being very short roles. The acting is all well done, however , with this film’s high concept and style it won’t be what everyone talks about after a viewing. The look of the film is groundbreaking and exciting. When the action occurs the director has chosen to take long shots without cuts, which is a risky thing to orchestrate considering the costs of movie-making. However, without risk there is no gain and he pulled it off marvelously. You can actually feel the tension in situations as brought on by newly devised camera rigs and methods. My only complaint in the visual department is a long scene near the ending. It is a moving scene through a war zone which seems to use the same filming methods that worked great all through the rest of the story, however in this section it felt more like I was being placed into a first-person shooter video game. One could say it is a positive thing and this means I was fully immersed in the world, however it was the exact opposite. I began to feel more like an outsider looking in; taken out of it. What caused this? Blood spatters land on the camera lens and stay there for most of the scene before fading away. This small amount of blood was a cool effect for a moment, but then it added to the feel that there was a camera man following Clive Owen around, sort of like when a horror movie uses the camera to peek out of the bushes and the camera itself is supposedly a character looking on. I would not have even noticed if it weren’t for those blood spatters. CHILDREN OF MEN is a visually stunning piece of work and I recommend it to anyone. The story is one of those save the world, inspiring hope for mankind ordeals and the action is brutally breathtaking. On a scale of 1 to 10 this is easily a 9 to a 9.5.

I thought it was very unique and a little hard to follow. I also didn't care for the ending that left you hanging but it was still a good movie with great acting.

It was a complete disappointment for me. No motivation, no character development, nothing much except running, shooting, explosions. A good cast wasted. I think I'll just go read the book again.
