Is anyone here involved in their church's Vacation Bible School? What curriculum are you using? Let's swap ideas and encourage one another.

I know this discussion is very old. I found it when I started to do the research before I started a new discussion. We start VBS tomorrow night at the church where my hubby is pastor. This year we are using the curriculum from lifeway called Boomerang Express. The idea is that it all comes back to Jesus. I'm looking forward to it. I'm keeping the nursery this year, as I have the babies on Sunday mornings, and they are at the age where stability is a good thing. My duaghter is helping in crafts. I will post new pics as soon as I get some taken tomorrow and downloaded.

That's great! I really enjoy the curriculum from lifeway, I use it for my high school Sunday School class and it really gets their attention and gets them to think. I love things that apply to our lives today. My prayers will be with you this week.

I haven't gotten involved with VBS, but we do have a summer camp for teens and younger kids.: YES Camp and I help out at that. each year is a different theme one year was be on guard and being a part of God's amry where the kids did different things with a military base to it and were called platoons instead of cabins so they learned the importance of team work as well as how when we band together we can do amazing things for Christ.
