How many of you sacrifice comfort to remain trendy when you buy your shoes. I recently read an article that most of todays foot problems are caused by shoes that are bad for our feet. Well? Are you trendy?!

I would always go more for comfort than follow the trend. I tend to buy flat, open toed sandals. I seldom or hardly wear high heeled shoes.

I used to wear the high heels.....I think I would fall over if I wore them now and they are really a pain in the foot!

Well,i have never realized that before. Thanks for your reminding.Yes,i often pay more attention on trendy when buying my shoes and seldom consider the comfort of them.I should pay more attention later.Actually, the feet are very important to the whole health of the body.We should not sacrifice our health for trendy.

Most of your nerve endings are located in the bottom of your feet. This affects your legs and back too. You are right that it is a very large health issue! Thanks for responding!

I can't stand uncomfortable shoes. I get irritated easy and I'm very prone to blisters so for some years now I have worn either boots, slip ons or sandals. I always go fort he comfortable shoes. If you try really hard, you can actually find trendy and yet comfortable shoes.

hi there. i am the type who wouldnt sacrifice comfort when im buying shoes. i really dont like the idea of having my feet ahce and hurt just so they can look good and sexy. id rather have "happy feet" than pretty feet who are "sad". lolz.:) i am still trendy though, even though i prefer comfy shoes. there are a lot of comfy shoes which look trendy.

I do think the manufacturers are making an effort to combind the two.

i used to do so regularly. especially with working shoes. high heels, stilettos and the like. but increasingly i find that comfort has become increasingly a priority. its kinda sad that the most comfortable shoe brands either are not very trendy. the trendy and comfortable ones like I've heard ferragamo are, are priced astronomically. so these days, i wear nice shoes if i know i don't have to trudge around too much in them. if i know a lot of walking is going to be done that day, i'll wear practical shoes.

I do like something that is comfortable....recently I purchased a pair and wore them shopping.....I brought back up shoes that I knew were broke in...well the new shoes were so comfortable I didn't have to resort to the others. They were Eurosteps....cute and comfortable!

I am with you. I don't even like the heels anymore. I'd much rather be comfortable. And I think it's great the the sneaker industry is making so many different types of sneakers that are good for our feet.

I always buy confortable shoes that are reasonably priced against trendy shoes as i really don't care what's fashionable. As trendy shoes are expensive too. So comfortable shoes are fine for me as i will certainly like to avoid any foot problems because of not comfortable shoes.

I never liked high heels because I could never walk in them. Also, why should women wear things that hurt? How could anyone not know how bad they are for a woman's feet? If they're not extremely comfortable, in my view, they're not good for your feet. Also, who ever heard of breaking a heel on a flat shoe?

I wear a plain white pair of Nike running shoes. I've always had to put comfort ahead of style for my everyday shoes. I haven't gotten new shoes in awhile but if I needed a pair for a special event or just for fun, I probably would get a trendy style. I just wouldn't wear something too trendy as my everyday shoe.

I also wear comfortable shoes most time. Reebok's but do indulge for special occasions. No big heels though. My legs aren't used to them anymore. I wonder how we ever wore them to begin with! LOL

I go for comfort anytime. Aside from special occasions like weddings, business gatherings and meetings, I tend to use easy shoes like rubber shoes and sneakers. Considering my athletic lifestyle, I am given to these kind of shoes.

would spend about $60 over the course of a year to keep comfortable shoes. The other bonus to replacing them after just a few months is that they never looked worn on the outside. My Nike's would have cost $80 had they not been on sale and after one year they are still comfortable but they certainly don't look new. So unless I can get lucky again and find a more expensive shoe on sale, I actually save money by buying cheaper ones and replacing them more often.

That's good to know. I wear Reboks most of the time and replace them about every four months. They also do not look the greatest when they feel the best! Thanks for posting!
