Are You A Day Person Or A Night Owl?

Unfortunately for my health, I am both. I wish that the human body did not need sleep. I like going out in the day and taking care of my business. I also like to do my fun activities in the day time. If I could, I would start my day at noon. I would have brunch, then I would take care of any business that needed to be taken care of. After dinner, I would go see a movie or hang out with family and friends. If it were summer time, I would go to the beach and play in the water with my special someone. I also love to go shopping. Even window shopping. Give me just $20.00 and I can spend a whole day in the mall. Then, after dinner is my quiet time. I like to study, post on Mylot, read, talk on the phone and just spend quality time to myself. I am one of those people who have no problems being alone sometimes. Some people always need someone around them. I could do puzzles, listen to music, color(very relaxing) I could crochet and maybe even have a bubble bath or a nice hot shower. I would be reluctant to go to sleep. Everything is so much quieter at night.

I am a night person also. Now that we have a 24 hour Super Walmart in my town I go there with my best friend and shop. it is easier. No one else hardly there. Except the night crew and everone cleaning other then that I am at home on mylot myself and also listening to music I also watch a dvd here from home. I usally wake up sometimes 2 or 3 pm during the day. Exept today I didn't because my brother in law and my nephew came by early this morning. So I took myself a nap this afternoon. I'm ready to go now though.

A 24 hour Walmart sounds great. I don't have a Walmart close to me, so if I want something from them, I order it online. Their shipping and handling is always pretty reasonable and I love their prices. It's nice when family comes to visit. My sister came over today unexpectantly, but it was a very nice surprise, especially since she bought me some money. I have to take a nap every day or I can be impossible to live with.

I was just talking to my fiance about 24 hour supermarkets here and whether or not they'll go ahead. We've only had Sunday trading for a few years now and I'm sure it won't be long before we have a 24 hour store open. It wuold be handy i guess, but i can't imagine there being too many customers at 2 am???

Woww.. you really do appreciate all the 24 hours of the day! I wish I could be more like you. In fact, I'm really a night owl.. I enjoy doing everything at night. My daytimes are usually for classes, assignments, banking, and shopping.. That's it! haha.. Somehow I just love the night life rather than the daytime.. But appreciating all the hours of the day like you sounds fun too!! You've made me realize that there's a lot I'm missing out on! hehe.. =)

You know what is so cool, thanks to modern technology, all of the things that mentioned doing during the day time, can also be done at night.

I'm both too. I like going out during the day checking out the scenary and having a good time at the park. I also like doing things at night. Fool around, chillin' straight out westcoastin'. I'm not a holligan but I like to fool around sometimes with others.

I do not thrive in daylight. I hate waking up in the morning, that is the worst part of the day for me. In terms of productivity, I tend to be more productive and active in the afternoon towards nighttime. That is the time when I feel more energetic and wanting to divert it into something. But then I also do not stay up very late at night, the latest would probably be 2am, which doesn't really happen a lot of times. I should probably say I am wasting a lot of my time sleeping. hehe

I get up early too. I always have to take a nap though. If I don't take a nap, I can not do anything at all. I will be nodding off at my computer. I can't read, I can't even look at television when I am sleepy, but I don't look at it when I am awake either.

It looks like you are really enjoying your life and very active indeed. I am both. I dont take a nap and I only sleep about 1 or 2 hours a day. It is bad for our health but there not much I can do because I just dont fall asleep easily like every one else.

I stay up lots of nights. But, at heart, I'm a morning person. I love the sunshine. Very refreshing. Easier to work. Easier to get things clean in the house. I have more energy and feel more alive. Though I'm on a night schedule right now, I struggle constantly to stay awake and suffer low energy. I miss the sunshine.

funny that you ask. I used to be a morning person and used to wake up so early like around 6am and start my day. Now I like to sleep in, have coffee and a good breakfast, take my time. of course what i like is not realistic because I have to wake up early for work but at least on the weekends i do sleep in. I used to wake up early even on the weekends.

I wake up at 6:20 a.m. every morning. I pick that time, in case I need to hit the snooze button. But to be honest, when I hit the snooze button, I usually do it until 7:00 a.m.

I used to be a day person only, but seems the last year I tend to take a long time to get going in the daytime, and then by night time I'm ready and energized and ready to clean the house only everyone else is ready for bed. So I guess my days and nights must be mixed up....LOL. I blame my pain pills for most of that :) But I guess I am still more of a day person. When I was much younger, late teens to early 20's I was definitely a night owl.

I am DEFINITELY a night owl! i work night shift so i come home at about 11 o'clock at night and stay up til 2 or 3 am. Everyone says "I'd be so tired I'd just come home and go to bed if I were you!" and i say "Well do you come home from work at 5 pm and go to bed straight away?" I also love the night time because it's so quiet, you kind of feel like you have the whole world to yourself.

I have worked graveyard before, From 11:00p.m. to 7:00a.m. These are strange hours for me, because if feels like you are in another world. Kind of like what you said about having the whole world to yourself. It's like I feel some kind of kindred spirit with anyone else that works graveyard. When you see them on a regular basis, you become quick friends. Just never break the cycle and go there in the day time to see them. It will feel awfully weird.

I am by nature a night person. I am blessed to be able to sleep when I want, for as long as I want, most of the time anyhow. That is the joy of retirement. The rest of the world may be out there hustling and bustling but we are here, rocking gently, sharing memories, enjoying the view.

Yes, retirement can be sweet after what seems like a lifetime of hard work. I had to retire early because of my disability, but I plan to retrain so that I may go back to work. My dream is to sleep 'til twelve, but I have to be up by 8:00 a.m. every day of the week. I have been doing this for two years now, so I am kind of use to it. But, there are still some mornings where it is difficult for me to get out of bed in the morning.

I am definately a morning/day person.I will get up at 4am and I am raring to go. I often bake bread when I get up at that time and do my cleaning,at least what I can do without waking my husband and do my online stuff. I will then have my shower/bath and wait for my husband to get out of bed. When he gets up we go for coffee and do our running around, then we come home and put all our goodies away and my hubby works in the yard and I play on the computer. I am normally in bed by 10 pm. If we are working we are both up at 5am and we work 16 hours then we go to bed.

I am the same way. I prefer to do Mylot at night, but everybody else on Mylot appears to be asleep at that time.

I am DEFINITELY a night owl. I like working through the night and waking up later in the day. I'm used to it. Part of me staying up late is 'cos I tend to be more creative then and less judgmental of what I create - I tend to be more lucid. I agree with you - everything is a lot quieter at night - and I like that - I find it mysterious - like that's when the world gives up its secrets. Browneyed.

Lately I have been a night owl because I would be online chatting to my husband who has been overseas for work. Now that he is back I have not been able to get back into my normal routine by waking up around 7am for my morning walks. I'll be starting that again next week if I can force myself to get up and get walking/exercising. Once I get back into this routine then I will continue to do the normal day to day things my son and I do as well as enjoying ourselves out and about town.

Im mostly a night person. I am usually up and around by around 8am though. Internal clock automatically gets me up about that time usually. I try to get up and on here early-ish to be able to chat with my friends in other countries and such since they are around kind of early for me. I dont stay up as late as I use to though....not often at least. I do enjoy going out during the day sometimes though. Like you, to the movies or mall. Something like that. But I could never spend a whole day in the mall with just $20. It'd be gone in less than 10 minutes LOL.

I'm very much of a night person. I do almost everything at night.. cause I usually wake up at 2 in the afternoon already, like now.. cause I still have no classes. It's really fun during the night cause it's hotter here in the Philippines during the day. I also don't get to sleep any time earlier than 12am cause I don't know.. maybe I've insomnia. I usually sleep at 4-5am and it really sucks.

I am definately a day person. I like the idea tha things are quieter at nnight, but I'd rather be asleep at that point. My quiet time is in the late morning after the family is out and I can get wahtever work don around the hosue needs doing. If I get it done quick enough than the surplus is mine until it's time to pick up the family. When summer comes, it will be different because the normal schedule and routine goes out the window. We all stay up much late and sleep later and become more like night owls than day people.
