Now I don't wear make up at all. Ladies when do you wear make up and how much? Men do you care if a woman wears make up or not?

I wear makeup if I'm going out, and someone else is there who wants to put it on me. That's pretty much it. Most of the women where I work (at a bank) wear makeup every day, but I just lack the energy and interest. I might wear colored lip gloss once in a while, but more often I just use lip balm instead. Once in a while I kind of feel like wearing makeup, but for me it's like putting on a costume, dressing up to be someone else, not me. It can be fun once in a while, but not for every day!

I only wear makeup whenever I get ready to go somewhere, like to the store and to church. I have problems with spots or blemish so I try to cover those up. I don't use too much. I don't wear lipstick, I wear clear or shear lipgloss. I only apply foundation and concealer, sometimes I'll wear eyeshadow.

I have gone through periods of time when I did use make-up routinely, but those times never lasted for long. I have fairly sensitive skin and unless I used pricey hypoallergenic make-up I would break out. My husband has never cared for it, though he is kind when I would put some on. I do try to take more care of my skin as I age. I wear a cpap for sleeping and it does tend to dry my face badly. So I will give an un-asked for care hint. After putting on night moisturizer------- I put a very small amount [dime size glob] of DIAPER ointment, along with a little more moisturizer, mix it by rubbing hands together then applying to face [helps to heat the diaper cream a bit].

Hi winterose! I use make up only when going to school, when I attend special occasions, as long as it means I'll be out of the house, I apply make up but when I'm just at home I let my face "rest". Not even a powder is applied to my face when I am at home. I have my own make up kit and I do my own make up. Usually it costs, around 2,500 pesos.

I used to be one of those who had to put make-up on the moment I woke up. Now that I am a mom of 4 and a wife I really dont have the time nor do I care about it much any more. The only time you will catch me wearing make-up is if I am getting to go out and that dosnt happen very often.

Hi winterose I only normally wear lipstick, and if I am going out and want to look nice I will wear a bit of mascara. but I never wear face make up. I can still see in my mind a lot of old ladies that wear make up and put it on with a pallet knife. and they look like clowns. I have never worn face make up for that very reason, as well do you remember when women just used makeup on their faces and it looked like a mask because they left off at the jaw line . geesh Robin

Being a man I have to answer the second question. No madam, I don't mind if a woman wears make up or not. However excessive make up would be frustrating. In my opinion make up should be to compensate slight shortfalls in the finishing of a face. I don't know if this idea of mine is acceptable to ladies in general. thank you, winterose.

I usually wear some make up when I go out but it's really very little. Basically, all I'd do is to apply some powder to my skin, no foundation or concealer, then I'd colour my brows a little so as to define them a little more. Lastly, I'd apply some coloured lip gloss. Then I'm ready to go anywhere! :) I don't apply a lot of make up because that would be like hiding myself behind a mask. I prefer to let people see the real me even though I don't look perfect but that's ok.

I have never been the type to wear makeup much, winterose. I think it is just important to some women, and not others. I used to wear it for special occasions, but since I'm older I don't bother with it at all. I know some women who won't face anyone 'til they have their makeup on. I say, what you see is what you get, lol. I have asked men this question over the years and found that most don't really care. Also, a person's religious upbringing can play into it. Some religions don't approve of it.

I don't wear much make-up at all. Not even lippie. I will make the effort if we are going out somewhere nice or even maybe a job interview but that's about it. I am too lazy to apply makeup every day and my skin doesn't like makeup anyway.

I used to wear the whole thing: foundation, eye liner, eye shadow, lipstick, mascara. Only for work or going out though. Since i've met my now hubby, i've dropped the lipstick, and switched for lipgloss for a few years, but that too is over and done with. Now, i'm down to mascara, moisturizing rosacea cream ( i have a bit of rosacea on my cheeks) and finishing powder to even out my face, and that's it. And it's only for work. If we go out, like a wedding or something, i put on a bit of lipstick too.

I don't use make up. I don't personally care aslong as it's not to much, but I wouldn't say I get mardy about it. My wife doesn't wear it, so we're fine about this thing. ~Joey

I only wear makeup if i am going out somewhere special, and then only a little. When i was younger i used to wear more, but not heaps. I dont think it is good for your skin to wear it all the time

I don't wear much makeup at all. I tend to wear it if I am towards the end of my rope (week) and my face is starting to show how weary I am...or if I am getting ready to go out somewhere special. Otherwise, not everyday, for sure.

I use minimal makeup.. Here in India, it is very very hot and sunny during summer and so I use a sunscreen lotion while going out in teh sun. During winter I use a moisturiser. Other than that the only thing I use is a bindi which Indian women use to apply on their forehead
