How to people perceive you.

We all draw conclusions about one another. Have opionions about others characters, good sides and bad. Have you ever wondered what overall impression people have about you. Oh he's a great guy always ready to help out or shes a misery always moaning. How do you think people sum you up, what quality would you like to be known for.

We just moved and are still meeting our new neighbors so this is really important to me. I always wonder what people really think of me. They are usually nice to my face, but I would like to know what they really think. I am the type to go to my husband and talk about people, not always bad, I guess I just like to gossip. I wonder, do others do that to me?

Unfortunatly were we live neighbours seem to keep themselves to themselves. When anyone moved in I used to send a card or something, but it seemed it was only me that did that. I am getting to know just two of them now, Im sure we get on very well, but I dont expect they think we are perfect.

I think overall, that people look at me as being honest, reliable, and someone who can keep a secret! my friends always say I am a good listener too! I am quite happy to be known for these qualities. What about you moomincat? How do you think people perceive you?

Like you I hope people see all those good qualities. But I was a bit shocked one day when a very good friend suggested as a matter of fact that I wore the trousers in the household. I always saw myself as a laid back sort of submissive person. I did strongly object to his accusation but realized I was only digging my own grave, which he found hilarious.

People perceive me as being easy going, placid and shy but they only know part of me, I am careful who I show my real sensitive self to, I am wary of strangers and suspicious of new people. My close friends perceive me as being caring, honest and creative as well as being 'earthy' and down to earth.
