How many times did you take your driving test?

I've taken mine twice so far. Let's hope the third time is the charm! I wasn't ready the first time and was really nervous but on my second attempt i really thought i was going to pass and was very surprised when i didn't. What are your experiences?

When I was first getting my license, I passed both the written and the road tests on my first try. However, when trying to renew, I had to re-take the written because of moving violations, and I failed it the first time by one question. I passed it the second time around so I didn't have to worry about it too much, but it was still a pain. The road test was the funniest part. I would have gotten a perfect score, had I not put the car in drive before buckling my seat belt... lol.

I passed second attempt Linz - my first test I failed on reversing. Looking back I'm somewhat surprised I ever passed, because I am a nervous, bad driver - I hate it, and I would scare me behind a wheel - but I'm sure you'll be much better than me! Good luck on your next test!

I haven't. Although I can drive but that's beside the point. I have no interest in owning a car until it's cleaner and better for the world. So none :) ~Joey

I took my driving test twice in the UK and failed both times. I didn't try again until we emigrated to Australia, and I passed first time! Of course, I was a bit older then and a bit more sense, lol! Just keep at it, you will do it - power of positive thinking linz!

Well I hope it is third time lucky for you sweetheart! I was really nervous before both my tests - even though my instructor said I would pass my test no problem first time round no problem ,I managed to let my nerves mess it up for me! I retook it as soon as I was allowed without any lessons in between and passed despite my nerves! xxx

I had to take mine 3 times to pass the driving part, my Mother thought I would never pass it, she took me to a small town in Texas where she thought they would be lighter on me. Nowdays, when children take Driver's Education in school they do not even have to take the driving part to get their license, they show a piece a paper and are given their license, scary isn't it??

I failed my test twice in Scotland (although I believed I had aced the first one but the grumpy old instructor failed me anyway). Then I failed 1 in Canada before finally passing at the second attempt there. At least there you only had to wait a week between tests. When I was learning in Scotland it was months between tests.

I took my driving test only once and was fortunate to pass right away. I was 18 that time and still a little daring, LOL! I heard from some friends that driving test is more stricter nowadays. I guess I'm just lucky to take the test only once. Just keep trying. I'm sure you will pass the driving test too. Good luck!

I guess I was lucky. I only took my driving test once. But I didnt dare to drive immediately. It took me 5 years after I have passed my test before I have the courage to drive. The reason was I didnt like driving a manual.
