Is Your Friends List Out Of Date?

I am not sure what others think here about this, but if you have been a member of myLot as long as I have, you will see a lot of people come and go on here. Some choose to move on elsewhere and quit posting here, and then the choice is do I delete them as a Friend or do I leave them? This has long been plauging me on here, and so I have been going thru each page of Friends, and deleting everyone who has not posted on here in the last month or longer off my Friends list. If they have, then Good, and I also answer a New discussion of theirs I have not answered yet to try and help them a little bit as well. I was just wondering if everyone agrees with me, or should I just leave it as it? I know since I post here a lot of the time, I get New requests all of the time, and then they could get lost in the crowd here if I do not go thru my Friends list every now and then.

I have a bunch of friends that haven't been on the site in several months. I need to go through, I suppose, and delete them, but I keep thinking they might come back and I miss them. I wish we had a way of separating them out from the others. I just realized for example, that one of my friends "notify" button was off and probably has been for awhile. If I didn't have so many that were inactive, I probably would have noticed this sooner. I always try to give people benefit of the doubt as to why they haven't posted. I, too haven't been very active lately because of personal reasons.

That's why some of mine I have not deleted, because I keep on hoping that they will decide to come back and give this site a shot again since they are paying us better in here again. But I know many have moved on, and that's OK. I'm still here so it is up to others whether they want to be or not.

I have all my 'friends' set to notify on and I don't have to worry about the list. I know a couple of them are not active here anymore and may be banned but the communication here is lacking and I am not sure. I suppose at some point I might go trolling around and find out who has been absent for like 4 months or whatever. Just not a priority.

Well, I have most of mine turned off as I was getting way too many notifications some days and do not have the time to try and catch up anymore it seems. But I am going thru all of mine still and seeing who is still there.

Not sure since mine do stay turned on. I flip through from time to time and my inbox folder is always hopping. Perhaps one for the management here to investigate if they will.

Well, that is why I started going thru my List and deleting those who are not Actively posting anymore. It makes my list look better, and easier for me to find the Active ones.

I think its just a matter of preference. I was going to delete some that had been gone for a few months but then they came back. So now I don't even think about deleting anyone. I do think its a good idea to go through your friends list to see if maybe you missed a discussion.

Well, Yes, this is true, that some do come back on here if they have time, and seen the possibilities of $$ they could make in here. So some people with higher ratings for sure you might consider this with. But what about the people who are Newer to this site, and quit accessing it suw to the amount of $$ you make on here? Should we keep these 2?

I probably look at my frieds list about once a month. There are many people on it that I don't see posting anymore. I don't delete them though. Hopefully they will come back to MyLot and start posting again. Lloyd

I completely agree with you! Mine is out of date at the moment because I usually go through and do the same to mine at the end of every month but haven't gotten to it yet. I want to be able to easily find the people who make posts and stay active here. The way I see it, if someone leaves long enough for me to delete them then they can request me again if/when they come back.

I go through them every now and then and if they have not logged in for 4 weeks, I delete them. That keeps them weeded out and I add some new ones to get plenty of discussions.

Hi, Mine isn't too bad as I went through it a couple of weeks ago. There are a few on there that haven't been on for months, but don't want to delete them as when they were active they were good friends. I've added quite a few recently, so really must trim it down again as I prefer quality rather than quantity!

Oh, my friends list is FAR out of date. In fac, most of the people on my list don't start discussion, musch less reply to mine. i accpet everyone and give them a chance...but then i always forget to go through and delete people. i guess i should go do that...

Hello, krauseHome,i will never deleted friends out of my lists even i know some of them have left mylot for other sites, but who knows, may be they will be back one day, like if they are scammed in other sites, they will come back to mylot,it had happened before, few of my friends quitted mylot but came back in few weeks because they had bad experience in other sites. You are not doing wrong ,but for me,i do not deleted people because i do not want other people to delete me at the same time. Good luck.

When I joined mylot, I accepted all the myloters that wanted to be friends. I didn't want to offend anyone, so I just accepted them as friends. I would love to go back and delete all my friends and start from the beginning again. I look for certain ones discussions and always try to reply as I think that we have something in common. I am not out for making a ton of friends here, but do love to responde to certain friends. I might take your advice and go threw one by one, but once again, I don't want to hurt anyones feelings.

I have been here less than a month, so though I have already aquired lots of friends, I'm not sure how I would handle it at this moment. The strange thing is the person who's link I joined my lot with found in a money making group in yahoo, and hasn't posted anything since. I find this very strange.

everyone has their own idea ,i come from China and i want make friend here ,but as we don't live in the same hemishere we couln't discuss together every time but this not means i would delet you from my friend list. In chinese we have a idiom : in the same camp which in chinese meaning ????. so do not delet friend in your list readily or your may lost a trur friend.

KrauseHome - I agree with you. When your friends list is cluttered with people who may not even be around anymore, it just makes it harder to use the tool for the active friends. If someone has been non-active for more than a month, then you do need to wonder. So go ahead and clean house. Hopefully people will not have sensitive feelings about this. If someone gets chopped and they think it was an error, they can always try again. Have a wonderful day.

I have only just recently been going through my friends list. I have been deleting them. There is no point in having pages and pages of inactive users I think.
