Grumpy old man?

It seems to me that everywhere you go these days there is always some kid (it's always a young person) with a personal stereo/mp3 player/phone who is polluting the environment with noise. It irritates to heck out of me! How about you? Does this sort of noise pollution annoy you? or am I just being an intolerant and grumpy old man?

If someone wants to listen to their music in public places they should adorn headphones. Not all music is joyful to all listeners.

The main thing that irritates me is the tinny thumpy noise that earphones emit and which seems to penetrate everywhere. The person using the earphones either does not know, or more likely does not care just how much noise is actually leaking from his/her toy.

Oh well, he or she will care when they lose a lot or all of their hearing one day.
