Responding to past discussions of our friends...

It happens to some of my old discussions, they are suddenly renewed.May be some people see my profile, browse the pages with the discussions and see something interesting. Sometimes i do it too. Nothing wrong.

Wow, thats alot. I would delete them all and start over. Your friends here will understand, it is impossible to respond and comment to everyone on your friends list.

It actually pleases me when my friends do this, or indeed anyone who happens to come across one of my real old discussions, it also reminds me that I may not have awarded best response and it has slipped my notice, so it's a good prompt for me! When I was away from Mylot my email box was crammed with notifications, it does indeed take a while to get on top of them, but you know I appreciate your responses my friend, in fact I'm always grateful when my discussions are responded to, young or old!

I have a lot of my old discussions coming alive everyday. It doesn't matter to me. What bothered me was that I wasn't able to comment back as fast as I can. I don't spend much time here lately. In the next few days, I will quietly slip away for a certain period of time. Don't know if I will still come back or not. :/

Hello! I am still getting responses from some of my old discussions too which is always good for me. I go and respond to as many as I can. I'm glad this option is still there. :) SheliaLee

I think there is an option under your friends list where you can switch off the notifications. Hence you can avoid reply mails to your email inbox I believe....

I wouldn't mind if you dig in to my past discussions and reply to my discussions. I will get email notifications and i will definitely thank you. It doesn't annoy me. Don't you think you are wasting your precious minutes.

I don't mind at all when they dig up old discussions of mine. I always try and leave one response open for a comment so I myself can drag up old ones once again. If they read it and respond I earn so why not. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have the same problem. I have almost 11,000 discussions from my friends to respond to as well. I have alot of friends here at Mylot and alot of them have made quite a few discussions. I am so far behind but I am working hard every day to try and get caught up. It doesn't bother me if someone responds to my old discussions. I have some discussions I wish I could delte though.

Hi Joey, It's good to see you back on myLot again. As for the old discussions being 'dug up,' it doesn't bother me at all ... so dig away. You never know, maybe 'others' will find something of interest that they've missed too, as mentioned by your first respondant.:)

Well i can say that i do respond to past discussions of my friends. Why not/ if it is interesting and i have somthing to say i will respond to it. I really do not care when they posted the discussion, just if it is some issue that is relevent for me and i have somthing to say about it. By the way i do it alote.

i also have 681 email notification by my friends. I do that also, i respond still to their past discussion, but some of them was deleted for some violation or i don't know. I just wanna prove to them that i still care to what discussion they have, but if i do not know the discussion i simplu don't response.

It doesn't bother me at all. Sometimes when you see a good discussion you have something really good to say or an answer to a problem that hasn't been mentioned yet.

I don't have the notification for everytime my friends make a new discussion because well I have a lot of friends and I don't want my inbox filling up with so many e-mails from myLot. I get enough from responses in my own discussions! lol In one discussion they responded 70 responses in one day! So yeah I do comment EVERY single response on my discussions and always rate them positive, as well as the discussions I red. Yes I rated you + Joey ;-)

i also have more than 1000 notifications in my email. whew! and i am trying to read them all and comment to most of them. and it takes too much time. but well, this is myLot life. we're here to connect into each other and not just target a lot about earning. anyway, some of my old discussions which are months and months ago and were already resolved still get new responses. i am not annoyed about this. i feel overwhelmed that mylottians are always there for each other to get to know us more. it's just that ... i feel tired to get through all of them... gosh... imagine? more than a thousand? glad that i have a fast internet connection or else, i might already be annoyed. take care... anne

I do not mind it at all when people visit my long forgotten posts. It just shows me that they care and value me as a friend.

i sometimes do this. unfortunately, i can't respond to all my friends' discussions. but i try my best. i also don't mind if my old discussions come alive again.

lol joey. i had over 2500 email notifications when i come back after 2 months away from mylot. i have now 1985 and i am trying to catch up on them quick. it will take me another couple of weeks but i will do them all in the end and same with you. lol

I'm never upset when I see a new answere to one of my discussions! I do not have a lot of time on here (some days I don't even have the time to log on)and so can not start many discussions. I like it when I see old discussions come to the surface again as it often brings more than one response to that particular discussion. Please feel free to answere any that you feel you can contribute to and thank you in advance! :) I will do my best to answere what I can of yours also but I am way behind with everyone!!

It is a half-half thingy. I used to be annoyed, then I changed my perception. Yet sometimes when people dug off really old discussions - those real stupid ones I started during my first few days at myLot, I am a little irked. Then again, I tell myself I should be grateful enough since people are supporting my discussions. So I just let people do whatever they want. It's not as if I can change anything anyway. :P
