I thought Whatmore was the right choice given his successful coaching stincts. Unfortunately he seemed to be too media savvy, tough aussie cookie which in aftermath of chappel episode some of members of selection had reservations. I think now Ford should be chosen as he liks to keep low profile and work from background allowing captain freedom to be his man. Besides he has had successful coaching stinct with south african national side.

i think hes the man for India rite now...he has good credentials as a coach and commands respect from the team. seniors want him so he has good support and the fact that he was the coach of dravid at kent makes him even better candidate as his partnership with dravid will be good....

I thought Whatmore was the right choice for the post, but then BCCI suddenly decided that Whatmore is not the man even to be considered. Now, they have thrown up Ford and Emburey. I am flabbergasted that they are even discussion Emburey's name at all. After all his coaching has done absolutely nothing to his English club just yet. Ford seems to be better placed of the two, but then given BCCI's selection policies, it suddenly can select Emburey to dumbfound all of us :) Cheers! Ram
