What is your Favourite Pastime?

I was wondering the other day whether I spend too much time on two of my favourite pastimes, & not enough on others? My number 1 and 2 favourite pastimes would be reading a good novel, & going on the internet. I love both, but find I am doing only those two. My other pastimes are knitting and gardening. Gardening I do in bits and pieces, depending on the weather. I haven't done any knitting for a long time, but am over half way through a jumper for a child in a third world country. So what are your hobbies & pastimes? Do you spend an equal amount of time on them all?

I definitely love being on the internet, almost to the exclusion of everything else. Of course, since I hate housework and cooking, it's very easy to let those slide while I'm doing my thing with my laptop. Now that the weather has broken, though, I'm spending more time outside since gardening is one of my all time favorite pastimes. I even have given up a few days of myLot to be outside.

Same here. Reading and going on the net are my 2 fave pastimes. I love to try new recipes.. baking especially. But haven't found time doing that either. At times, i wish there were more hours in a day... So i can spend time with my son AND do my fave pastimes all in a day. But i guess i just have to settle for the times when my boy is asleep to do my things.

I agree.. Those two would definitely be on my top two favorite pastimes. Unlike you, I have much more time on my hands to do both but still, I don't balance the two very well. I haven't finished ONE single book in a long time. I keep jumping from one book to another. I've even neglected my other favorite pastime which is photography due to the Internet! *sigh*

Music and reading are my top two favorites. I can listen to music while doing most everything else, and I read a little everyday no matter what.Another favorite is cooking, which I spend the most time on.

That sounds great that you are knitting a jumper for a child from third world country. It is an appreciable work which needs patience and good moral value as well. You deserve to get a clap from me..My pass time is chatting in internet with different race,gender,types...of people from all over the world and to know their lifestyle and different attractive history and notable aspect worth to mention. My 2nd one is to listen melodious musics and songs irrespective of languages.

I guess you could say that I have a very boring life.lol. Just about all my time is spent on the computer. I am either doing things to make some money or I am playing my favorite computer game called The Sims 2. I spend most of my time trying to earn money.

To be honest with you, my past time is on the internet. Nothing else. I always browse my favorite sites, like forums and youtube. These are the sites that I don't miss opening once I am online. My social life is on the internet. Lately, I am spending more on here in mylot. I thought, I could make use of mylot to practice my English skills this way. Plus I get paid for doing it. Thank you.

My favorite pastimes are reading, posting on the internet, gardening, cooking, and potting water plants. I enjoy reading mysteries, cookbooks, water gardening and gardening books. Once a month will read a romance book. Tomorrow I plan to turn on my crock pot and plan to hunt for a new recipe this evening. Its fun to try new recipes. I enjoy receiving new recipes from any of my friends. I don't spend as much time as I use to reading, but enjoy talking to my friends on mylot. Its fun to learn new things.

I used to say the internet was a pastime but since it's my job now I can't say that - and spend way too much time here. I also enjoy reading, gardening, and crochetting.

Same here. Reading books and going online are my two favorite pastimes. Sometimes I read novels on my laptop too, from gutenberg.org, but it's nothing like holding a book and flipping through the pages. My other pastimes are writing songs, poems and stories, and watching TV, although if I have a swimming pool in my backyard I'd probably live there.

It used to be reading, watching TV and crocheting while doing the first two. Now all 3 are badly being neglected since I got my laptop.

I only have my ATV riding or internet. I think a lot of the time it depends on the weather and usually I enjoy one more than the other at stages.

My all time favourite past time is sleeping.. May sound abnormal, but I love to sleep. I can sleep on any time of the day given a bed and a cover to cover myself.. Another favourite is to read. I mostly read fiction in my local language, classic English fiction adn loads of magazines
