Can you believe this?

Ok, now before you read what I am pasting for you to read, You must know, this did not come from me! I do not believe this! This was a message that I recieved in a myspace bulletin, and I couldnt believe this! It was entitled, get rid of terrorists....however, it is geared towards all muslim men in the US, I am truly appalled by this and I have just lost a lot of respect for the person who posted this...can you believe people can be so heartless? Ok, here it is: As you may already know, it is a sin for a Muslim male to see any woman other than his wife without clothing, and that he must commit suicide if he does. So next Saturday at 4 PM. Daylight Saving Time, all American women are asked to walk out of their house completely without clothing to help weed out any neighborhood terrorists. Circling your block for one hour is recommended for this anti-terrorist effort. All men are to position themselves in lawn chairs in front of their house to prove they are not Muslims, and to demonstrate they think it's okay to see women other than their wife without clothing, and to show support for all American women. Since Islam also does not approve of alcohol, a cold 6-pack at your side is further proof of your anti-Muslim terrorist sentiment. The American government appreciates your efforts to root out terrorists and applauds your participation in this anti-terrorist activity. God bless America. It is your patriotic duty to pass this on. --------------------------------------------- Patriotic duty? No, I dont think so. I mean, come on, these are people, human beings, and not all muslims are terrorists. This is really bad, and concerns me a little.

I think I recognize some satire here. Not very good, but satire, just the same. Someone had tongue in cheek when writing this one.

Well although I dont agree with this post at all I also believe the Muslims have no one to thank for all the race problems but themselfs. This race is awful towards their women and the women are treated like possessions not people. I have also heard when a Muslim woman go's out of the house then she must be accompany by a man. I dont know if this is true but I have also heard and read many horrible things these people do to each other and others. You know in ways I see where they are coming from but what do terrorist attacks ever accomplish? See if these people were'nt so violent towards themselfs and others then I believe muslim race will be left alone and not picked on anymore. Also for all the muslim haters out there, I dont believe you are following what you where raised to do, and attacking one race is uncalled for. So I know this post is all over but what Im trying to say is if ignorant people have something to say like in this post, then those idiots should keep it to them selfs instead of trying to spread hate all around. With all the problems the planet has now a days terrorism shouldnt be a problem because if we dont fix the environmental problems first then there will be no one left to complain about anything!

I agree I think that not liking an entire race or religion just because you do not agree with their beliefs or what a few of them did you are ignorant. I just think that doing something to try to get people to kill themselves is just stupid. cruel & ignorant =)

I am thinking, stacy, that maybe this is just someone's idea of a joke. After all, I don't happen to know any women who would do such a thing. In times such as these it is understandable that some people possess better coping skills than others. The best thing to do would be to just ignore this.

I know its a joke, I think it is just in poor taste. Pretty much saying all the muslims in America should die...doesnt make sense, yes a few have committed terrible acts against America, but not all of them are terrorists.

i do have to admit it was in poor taste. with racism a major problem in this country, this could be misconstrued and used as a motivation tool for racists. however, it was an obvious joke that is made funnier every time someone comments with awe about it. thank you for starting this discussion stacie.

Well I am not an American and as someone has said, this has been circulating since 9/11. I think it is in extremely bad taste. Islam is not a "race" for a start. It is a religion and in many peoples life it is a way of life for their communities, not unlike being catholic. I have many Muslim friends and they are not terrorists. I think ppl have a lot of nerve to give all Muslims such a hard time. Tarring them all with the same brush as we like to say here. Does anyone look at history, read about the crusades and the inquisition and other wars or atrocities over the centuries, gee it seems so many religions have produced so much blood shed but Christians seem to forget these other wars in the name of religion happened. The world would be a much better place without religion in my opinion.

Haha! I think this is a joke. I'm not an American but I think the person who started this just wanted to see how his fellow Americans would react to something like this. But if this guy is serious in using American liberty as a weapon well all i can say is.. nice tactic. :-)

I haven't read through all the responses here, I'm being lazy lol, but that's an email joke that went around several years ago-post 9/11, when everyone was feeling patriotic and sending out stuff like that. Yes, it is in poor taste, but so are a lot of the emails passed around :)

I actually received this in an email from a friend quite a while back, and it just broke my heart that she thought so little of Muslims that she'd send it on. I deleted the email straight away, what would be the point in sending it on? It scares me that people think that all Muslims are bad and that they're all terrorists. They're NOT. They were given a bad name because of a minority, and people have taken that, run with it, and now it's been blown out of all proportion. A mountain out of a molehill as it were. People really need to stop and think before they lump every single Muslim in the same category.

I have to say stacy that I find this more than a little worrying - I find it to be not only cruel but also very ignorant! This may have been someones attempt at humour but I can totally understand why you have lost respect for them as it really is neither funny nor clever! I must add I know it is not what you believe but whoever posted it on your myspace must be quite dim witted if they believe all muslims are terrorists. xxx

I've seen this before and I'm sorry, but I think it's hilarious. It's been circulating since 9/11 and i think its just the funniest thing. Of course I don't take it seriously. Of course I would never participate in anything like this. But it's a joke. there's even one out there about sending out scantily clad women to fight in the war. It's an american pride anti terrosit statement. Yes it targets Muslims. And true not all Muslims are terroists. But right now, all terroists are muslims.

i also think so that all muslims are terrorist and as i am a muslim also, say that he can't be a muslim who spread terror because islam does not teach that and if it is true which is in that post then why islam is fastest spreading religion of the world till now?

It is really very funny and innovative. I dont think thereis really a problem Maybe it was sent as a joke, but seriously if people of the world are turing against muslims it must be them. If every terrorist is a muslim then there must be something inherently wrong in the religion or why would that religion be the common factor between all these terrorists. And I understand why the muslim laws are so hard on women. If you have seen muslim women then you know why the laws are in place. If they were allowed to participate in all these beauty pagents the rest of the world can just watch. they are exceptionally beautiful

Okay I don't consider myself racist. I love everyone until you piss me off. Many of my friends and family have called me on numerous occasions a "people person". I take that as a compliment. So I can see how this could upset you. The nerve of some people to really think us americans are going to listen to this and do what is being asked. I think the only people that I dislike (notice I said dislike, and not hate) are those that are racist. Everyone is the same on the inside. Skin color and race are only skin deep. That is the way I was raised and I will always feel this way. So I have shared "my own personal opinion" on this matter and I hope I have not upset anyone by what I have said. God Bless!

I think everyone has the same ideas on terror but surley by doing this you are as an extream case an accessory to murder? I think to tar everyone with the same brush is very harsh and its things like this that cause riots and more deaths
