What is happening to this brilliant site ?, Now don't get me wrong I just love it here and I love all the lovely new friends I have made , I also like to read all or as many of the discussions I can ( I haven't been on as much lately as I used to be but I am trying to get back to normal . What I am worried about though is , I am scared to write any discussions because if my friends answer my posts( and you all usually do ) then they get removed , you loose points , I have had 2 taken off recently , one about what the kids say and one about cats and mice going o heaven and getting roller skates , Now!! I am proud of the fact that I never read or write smut , so!! what I Have I done wrong to have my discussions taken off , I have asked but never got a reply , which is unusual for me as admin are usually so quick to reply , it takes me ages to think of a discussion , then I worry it might be taken off and I just forget it ,
the thing is that if we all start to do that there will be no discussions for any of us to post replies to , I wonder who is reporting them and when they are reported is someone is actually taking the time to read them , If there is anything wrong we should be told WHAT IT IS not just because it contravenes the guidelines , anyway , I just wanted to let you all know why I haven't been posting as many discussions

Beats me really. I have discussions removed without reasons too and when I write, I am just ignored.
What is surprising to me that it is surprising to you when admin does not reply promptly to you. :P
It is so random - they may reply or they may not lol. And if they do, they may take 2 hours or 3 months. Who knows?

What is happening is that someone/s is/are doing a great job of cleaning service here at mylot. I can't blame you if you are feeling skeptic to post any discussions here. I normally post one thread everyday. Now, I only post one every week. Maybe, it will be better to post one thread every month.
A lot of my friend's discussions were deleted without any warning or explanation at all. I do not know anymore what discussion to post here. I'm just so sorry that this has to happened to you too.

It beats me why some discussions are getting deleted, usually the funny and enjoyable ones...There must be a few wet blankets out there that dont like hunour...But if they dont like it, they dont have to read it. Its against the guideline to give out links to other sites..How come there seems like thousands of discussions with link in them, and they are still sitting there.

im the same with this site,ive went off it since i had a two day ban,thats why i dont start discussions any more and ihave to be carfull to which ones i answer,incase they get deleted.

I have had two of my discussions removed in last couple of weeks. I too felt really bad for the people that responded to my discussions. I agree, it would be nice if we knew why they were removed. It seems to be happening to many of us. Don't worry, just try to have fun on mylot.

One time one of my discussions that I started was removed but then in a day or two it was back up. Weird, but that is what happened.
I hope things are getting more back to normal for you. I am just enjoying my grandson being here for a visit and his swimming lessons.

Oh yes, they are that plus more. I never get tired of hearing "Grandma, I love you" and I never get tired of saying "I love you" to them also.
He is my only one that lives away from me so it makes it that much more special the few times a year I do get to see him since he is in school. He is 9 yrs. old.

If it's any consolation (probably not my pal) but I was in the same situation that's why I left Mylot for a week, because it was like a minefield never know what discussions to respond to and what discussions to create, wondering if they are going to get pulled. They do NOT inform you why they are pulled which makes things even more frustrating. I realized that I missed the people and even tho your discussions get pulled at least you have supported your friends. It is very hit and miss and trouble is there are a lot of people out there who will report discussions because they have a word they don't like for example or take offence, so no one knows, it's a great shame because so many good people have left because of this x

Well it seeems to be happening again then I am not posting as many either anymore as yes it is getting a bit scary to post anything
I do not know what is happening and I haven't earned much either this month but I am not bothered about that what I am bothered about is that Friends seem to be disappearing and Discussions to xx

I just response to another friend of mine before little with same problem with you and I go to the next discussion (yours)and I find same problem.I don't know what happen to mylot and remove discussions without they broken any rules(the other member didn't like you).When I came today i find 2 points down for me ,now I understand why.1 from the other friend and 1 from yours about the *kids say*.Actually I loved those topic of yours.
Anyway my friend don't let these stop you from starting as much new discussions you want.all your friends including me we will still love your discussions and will be here.After all don't forget ......today was you ,tomorrow can be anyone from us.

I can't figure out why your discussions have been removed. I think they should provide a reason for any discussion removal. Unless you get an answer from administration, I would keep posting discussions. I am sure most will be fine. And like you, I have a herd time thinking of topics that haven't already been run through the mill.

Well I've never had it happen to me, but I know it is happening to lots of people and I truly don't know why. All I know is that the momey has gone down so much lately - I used to regularly make more than $1 a day - now I can't get anywhere near that! It's nice to see you back here by the way, - and glad your health scare has all been cleared up.

Weemam, You know this is happening to alot of people on my friends list. I can not see or find the rhyme or reason for it. I think its time that MYLOT admin clarify the guidelines for us. I mean I will abide by what ever they set forth. But please just make them clear for me.

I know how ya feel. i had one taken off not too long ago. Before that i never had any taken off. i wonder if the mylot staff is getting stricter?? Who knows why and who knows why anyone wants to report them. I guess since it all happens to everyone we shouldn't worry about it too much.xxxx

A lot of people have been very upset about this lately sweetheart and I am pretty sure that if a certain number of people complain - for whatever reason - the discussions are automatically deleted! It would make a lot of sense if we were informed of the reason a discussion is deleted - most of us feel the same sweetheart! Lots of love from all of us to all of you! xxx

If those were mostly copy and paste, someone probably reported them. As I remember, they were from e-mails that someone sent you. I have another friend who has had one deleted twice. I do not start many discussions, I mostly respond. I make it a policy not to respond, at least not too often, to those discussions that have started out by being something someone e-mailed to someone else, because I know people who do report them. Not me, as we can usually use a laugh. The jokes category got abused a lot, and what I understand from my other friends is that there is almost no tolerance for them now. I think the discussions from your real life, like your doctor, your son and his room, and the things like that are really very safe. They are slices of life for us all. For a long while I did not start many discussions, because I felt they did not get good response. I still try not to overdo it, as I want to keep up with my best responses. I start one occasionally is all. You are correct, though, if everyone just responds, and no one starts a discussion, then there will not be much to respond to. I heard rumor, at one time, of a power hungry moderator who was making things difficult on here. Perhaps that person is still here. Keep on posting, dear.

they were done over 5 months ago pal , and at the time I did say they were sent from a friend , and at that time we were allowed jokes , I think this seems a bit unfair . but as I was saying before there aren't going to be enough discussions for as to post on in a wee while xxx

As a side, I will take a day very soon and post nothing but discussions. I do not want to overwhelm you my friends, so be warned. I am trying to validate an earnings assumption, and I told someone that I would do it. When it is done, I will tell what my results were.

I was looking for something the other day in the guidelines and I see that they have included and new itme under the "Dont" on discussions that was not there before. Here is the copied item
Dont..Post jokes, recipes, etc. as discussions. This is a form of abuse and all recipes and jokes will be deleted if they are started as a discussion.
So weemam it seems that not one person is reporting them but that they are automatically deleted. I think it is a shame as I enjoyed both categories.

Weeman if I remember correctly a good while back you told me that they deleting jokes and yet they had catgory for "JOKES!" That just is so unfair they had a special category for them and they were posted under that but stil got deleted??? At that time it must have been someone who reported them. You think?

Most posts that I have seen seen deleted have clearly violated guidelines (plagiarism and such) but those that are not clear, and those that are questioned deserve an explanation. It would also help if they would let us know when they change the guidelines, such as the new addition about jokes and recipes now being a violation. I hope that they will at least give you an explanation.

As long as they were not plagiarized and did not violate any other guidelines at the time they were written, I don't see why they should remove them... If they do, they should at least provide an explanation. They probably won't though since they have now made it a part of the guidelines.

I can understand that. I hope that you do not just stop posting discussions since when I do get a chance to get on I like to see the new ones that you have added. I have noticed that several of the discussions I have posted to lately have been disappearing and I lose that post and the money from it on my records. I do not understand what is going on but I hope that someone is looking at the posts before they remove them.

Hi weemam. I can certainly understand the feeling. I have lost some points too without warning, but as a few others have mentioned, there is a new rule about jokes and recipes. I haven't been as active in the last few months so I had to go looking for a reason for my joke to have been deleted. I was rather surprised with what I found but at least I'm up to date on the rules again. ;)

Ouch! A retroactive deletion. That had to be a surprise. When I found the post that initiated mine being reported, I saw that some members get stirred up and go headhunting at times. They don't even remember what they report, not that it matters, you know, it's already gone.

It's really sad to see, weemam, what has been going on, lately here on mylot.
Not only discussions are being deleted, but also they are being polluted as well as members getting banned without explanation and without any apparent reason. Every day when I come to mylot, I think that perhaps I won't be able to login and would have been banned for any reason. I have been into some discussions lately, which though were a bit controversial but amazingly even more controversial discussions (from opposite side of that discussion starter)are still here on mylot. Apparently there is problem in moderation of this site.
I just know that there is a growing frustration on mylot and if administration don't do anything about it, there will be many people leaving mylot. Just today, one of my friend told me that she was banned without a reason, and I still don't see a reason. Worst part is that she has asked for explanation but of no use. She had over 2000 posts and whole lot of friends and credits. I then looked into my friend's list and it made me yet more sad, as I see that already many of my friends have left the site.
There needs to be serious things done here about moderation, otherwise a sort of exodus is quite nearly visible:-)
