Your interest page

How long has it been since you edited your interest page? I found this morning that I had lots of duplicate categories, and I had things on it that I do not remember adding. I just spent a half hour cleaning it up. It is really very easy, go to the far right hand side of each interest and click "edit". It will list the things in the interest, and you may check mark the ones you want removed. As a second step, you may add new items by typing them in a box. It makes it easier to look for discussions if they are started in an interest area instead of in "General"

Yes, I went through mine two days ago. Some of my interests have changed, some were too similar to be duplicated, and some I never remembered being there! : )

Isn't it funny, me too. Anytime they ask you to add this interest, they will do it, even if you already have that interest.

Thanks for the reminder! Gee, it's been many, many months since I thought about editing the interests page. Will have to check it out and look for duplicates and all, and maybe even add some new ones. Thanks!

You are very welcome. I have other "housekeeping" chores I need to do, but I am stopping there for now.

I haven't looked at it lately, but I do check them whenever I feel the need. I think I have 3 different interests that are the same, there are also some interests that I still want to add and delete at the same time. I always like to add new interests, especially when there's only a few who's interested on it. I liked to be the first, then maybe start a discussion about that subject.

that is a different idea. Then people suddenly "discover" that they have that interest, too.

Hello gerty. Truth to tell, I never bothered to visit my interest page for ages already. I'm not even adding new nowadays. I don't have that much time going through it. I'm forever trying to catch up with all my friend's discussions and clearing my emails. I seriously need to come up with another tactic as I have some friends who will post 20 discussions within the hour, LOL.

For friends like that, I will answer maybe one or two a day. I do not relate to a lot of what is asked or discussed by people who are that rapid fire. I did start sixteen discussions yesterday, and it took me several hours.

I personally think this is yet another not-so-useful feature at myLot. This interest page is not useful at all. You understand someone more by his postings, and besides, I don't use that discussions from my interests link at all. So what's the point? I normally add all decent looking interests when that page comes up for discussions I replied too. The simple reason is that unless I add it, it is going to keep on cropping up and wasting my time. :P

I will start discussions in my interest, because someone said it paid better. I do not answer from that link though.

I clean house on my page quite often actually. Adding and deleting friends and photos, adding and deleting interests. Going through friends comments etc. I do this a lot as I like a nice neat page and the less cluuter for my interests the better I feel. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

That sounds good to me. I had actually forgotten those pages for awhile. Not as much time as I would like to have I guess.

To be honest I haven't looked at it or edited it for months. You are the second person to remind me of this in the past few days. I guess when I have a priority list, it would be the last on my list. -check responses & reply -check notifications -respond to many notifications - start at least one discussion - do some best responses * Thus, I never get o editing my profile page!
