Hi! I am curious about this and will like to know the experience in your various countries. He in Nigeria, electricity is one of our major problem here. You wont know when the power will be interupted. At times the light will develop fault, but it will take days for the Power Holders to come and fix it. What are your experiences out there? Do you experience thesame?

I am in a small town in Canada and we get power outages in bad weather. Just this week we lost it twice because of rain storm. Today the sun is shinning pretty and we have no cable. But the worst was this past winter when we lost power for 3 days and there was so much snow we couldn't leave the house. We all got very sick because it was so cold. I never want to go through that again. We had everyone bundled up in one small room with candles and I couldn't sleep for fear that someone would need me or the candles would fall or something. I have no back up plan for no power. It is so needed here cause it can get so cold. Sorry you have to go through that often, it would drive me nuts.

Here a heavy rainy season with some dangerous wind is going on. The wind brought down many trees by the side of the road causing damage to electricity supply installations. Last week we experienced serious power supply failures. Now it is going on smoothly, but being rainy season there is every possibility for power failure. Thank you.

Here in my country, power failure has nothing to do with either rain or anything. It happens anytime. At times, one will be using it for a very important thing and the power will get interrupted just like that. Thanks

In my place, we also experience power failure. Most of the time power failure happens during rainy season, specially if there are some heavy storm. During summer power interruption occurs too, i guess it is a part of the government program in conserving electricity.

It is not the case here in Nigeria. We hardly recieve notice and sometimes, the cables might have problems, but before the power holders wll come, it will be after days. Thanks for your response and have a nice day.

We don't have any prower problems here where I live because hydroelectricity is our major export. The only times we have blackouts is when their is a major storm that knocks out a powerline, and this is usually resolved in a couple of hours and happens about once every two years give or take.

Here in Prescott Arizona we have electrical failure during severe weather, like when there is thunder with lightning or snow. Occasionally, some idiot will run into a pole and put out the lights for a few houses. * Sounds like you need an electric generator. I'd hate to go for days with out electric, but then here I wouldn't be able to cook food or anything as my apartment is ALL electric.

That's really interesting friend. It is just differnt in my country. At times, the transfor will be faulty, but the power owner won't come on time and people will stay for a week or more without electricity. And I can't afford a generator because of the cost. Also, so many people can not just afford buying generator. Here in my place, we experienve power failure almost everyday. The highest time power lasted in my place I think is 3 days. Thanks for your response. Do have a nice day.

well, it's different here in china, electricity failure isn't a problem here. we have power 24hrs a day and 7 days in a week. unless a fault develops we don't experience anything of that sort.

Electricity is pretty reliable in Germany where I live. Maybe once or twice the system breaks down in one year. And then this is only for a couple of minutes or hours. I never had problems with the food in my freezer. I can say we permanently do have electricity. I am very seldem running around with a flashlight.

I dont have power failure always. Its always sometimes, once in a while that we have to experience that. Also, the power cut is for a short span, its back in an hour or so. I hope we dont face the problem of power cut very often. Thanks!
