I know that this is a hot topic, but I just want to know what the general population thinks.

Rogue, This is something that in my opinion is totally up to the woman who is carrying the unborn baby/fetus. She is the one that is going to have to decide if she is able and/or capable of taking care of a child; if she is able and/or capapble of nurturing a child; if she is able and or capable of staying home or affording child care so she can work. She is the only one that has to face these decisions. Her husband/boyfriend doesn't have to face them for her. He may be a factor; but if it was not a planned pregnancy, why was he depending solely on her for providing birth control? Her friends don't have to face them for her. Her family can help; but ultimately don't have to face them for her. Her neighbors don't have to face them for her. The people at the clinic/doctor's office don't have to face them for her. Her pastor/priest doesn't have to face them for her. She, and ONLY she is the one person left to face the decisions that need to be faced. She and ONLY she is responsible for the decision that she makes. Whatever decision she makes is going to be a complete Life Changing Decision; and it is going to rest totally on her. Do I have the right to impose my thoughts on her? Absolutely Not! ~Donna

You make a lot of very valid points and you are right, who are we to judge? In this day and age though, I wonder why he and she did not take more precausions. We have so much information out there. This all could have been prevented with the right information.

Well I feel abortions are ok when the child is still born or has some abnormality or not growing properly. Other wise abortions should be avoided and precautions should be taken for conceiving.

I don't agree with it, but i am not going to tell people what they should or shouldn't do with their body, I figure to let people make their own decisions...but as far as im concern i don't agree with it.....But thats my own opinion..

I feel the same way, I do not agree with it, but if a woman is going to do it, who am I to stop her.

I am ctting and pasting my comment from the next page to your this thread (as of now response no 12, I think): QUOTE: A few years ago, circumstances forced us to abort a child, this would have been our third child, and at that time it seemed like the right decision. Later we did have our third child, a boy, and he is the apple of the family's eyes. Very often I and my wife think about the baby we were forced to abort (a boy) and we are filled with guilt, with remorse for having played God with our own flesh and blood. We wonder how he would look, how he would be if he were alive, but then we console ourselves by looking at the one who came after, at the joys that he has given to our family, at his impishness, his being just a boy (he's now 10) and ..... Reminsicing too much, too emotional, but I personally think that its a very personal matter and every human has his or her own right to an opinion on this. Our case (I and my spouse), well we have decided never ever again, we have no right to end a life in this manner so we are very careful now. UNQUOTE

I dont say whether they should do it or not but yes i believe they should have the right to do.I think if they feel ok there should be anything banning it.

I am not for banning it, but I would like to know what are the reasons women have abortions?

I hope the reason was a birth defect in that child, and that was your reason for aborting that child.

I am 100% against abortion, no matter what the reason is. Only God can create life, and only He should be able to take it away. It is not for us to decide who gets to live...God creates every life for His own purpose.

No I don't think women should have abortions they knew what they were doing when they did the deed. But I'm no one to judge I just think it's wrong. There's other ways out of taking care of the responsibility like giving them up for adoption. Let the child live it's life it's human just like person who made him/her.
