good? or fair? do you think that they get off the actual issues of the case too much? Which one is the best that you really like more?

i'm surprised some of those tv judges get away with calling people idiots LOL i saw maria lopez do that to someone the other day. i think sometimes they do drift, and a couple of judges seem opinionated..but in all, they're pretty fair. judge judy is certainly entertaining,to say the least.she thinks nothing of getting in someone's face;)

I am really hooked on those shows. I watch the People's Court, Judge Judy, Judge Hatchett, Christina's Court and sometimes Divorce Court. I don"t know about the others but Judge Judy's biography states that she was a lawyer and then a Family Court judge in New York for 30 years. I think she knows the law, she is very tough and sometimes she oversteps her authority. I would never bring a case before her. She publicly humiliates people and calls them names. I used to watch Judge Joe Brown but I found he is clowning around too much. I got tired of it. My favourite is the People's Court. Judge Milian is very charming, she is also very knowledgable and sympathetic. She can be tough but she is never insulting. She has a truly human touch when dealing with both plaintiffs and defendants. It is my understanding that people who appear on these shows must sign a document stating that the ruling is final and binding and they cannot go before another small claims court. They also receive a sum of money to bring their case before these courts and have 10 Million people watch it. Would you do this?

I dont think I would want to be on tv but I did notice that some of them seem to air alot of their dirty laundry...I guess it works for some people and at least they get it resolved....

I think the judge sare pretty fair in their rulings. I do like Judge Judy as she will tell you what she thinks. No hold barr. I think she tries to help and will tell you blunty what she thinks. Sometimes I think they get off the main issue at hand. But I have notice that doing so helps them determine if the person is also trying to pull one over on them. So it really helps in the end. Plus it make sit more interesting fo rus veiwers to watch.

Yeah, I do, I actually like them, I was a paralegal for 20 years in my former life and being around such television shows reminds me of my days in law, I actually think they are very far and most very comical on the most part.

I watch them occasionally. but to me it doesn't seem like its about the law, it is how far they can go in either being humiliated or in humiliating someone. As for Judge Judy, its all about her. I understand they only have 5-6 minutes per case. but if the people are told ahead of time, to keep quiet then I guess they are asking for it, I have seen people come on that show and say nothing other than no Mame or yes Mame, have won because they learned not to talk themselves in to a mess. I understand that both sides get paid, but they way they talk after the show you just know the problem has not been solved.

I used to watch several of the 'judge' or court shows and loved them. Judge Judy was one of my favorites - she says it how it is.
