Wow who knew vinegar was good for so many things. It is good to cook, clean, help with sunburns, and kill those nasty weeds.

Vinegar is one thing I always keep on hand. It's good for SO many uses and cleaning purposes, it's amazing. I wash my floors with vinegar water solution. The vinegar kills germs better than a lot of things, and it gives me a streak free shine on the floors. I was surprised when I read years ago that vinegar water will not harm wood floors, and I've been using it ever since and my floors look great, and I never have to use wax on the linoleum (so, no waxy build up ever gets on them.) Of course, with the wood floors, I use a Swifter so I can control just how much of the solution will get onto the wood, if you flood the floor with it, it takes longer to dry and water could still harm it by warping the wood. (By controling how much goes onto the floor with the Swifter, I've never had warpage, just clean floors!) I also use vinegar for tenderizing steaks. I just pour a little into a tupperware, close the lid, shake it a few times here and there. The flavor of the vinegar cooks out, and my son-in-law swears the meat is so much tastier and tender than when I use prepared tenderizer mixes. Hah! Who knew I could tenderize so cheaply, lol. (And I can tell the difference too)

I just know some uses of vinegar but I don't that it can kill weeds. Does the acid content won't kill the plants? I just hope it will not. I put a little amount of vinegar in washing our dishes and kitchen utensils. I helps take awy greases. I will also try the solution in cleaning our room, just an experiment, before doing it in a wider space.

I got tired of replacing my nonstick pans and skillets every few years with new ones, because the teflon coating would come off so bad, that now I have purchased stainless steel pans and skillets and use enough white vinegar to cover the bottom of the pan (1/4") and boil it for 20-30 seconds and it makes the pan nonstick for about 3-4 months, depending on how much they are used. When things start sticking in it again, I just boil some more vinegar in it. Who knew vinegar would be such a good replacement for nonstick cookware.
