How do you get friends in myLot? :: Are you proactive?

Frankly I'm a passive member to get friends, I'm afraid. I've got many of my friends in myLot just from my approvals to those who asked me. I approved them all. Thanks to them for asking me as friend!
Are you proactive to get friends? Have you any consideration to ask them as your friends?

I do not mind sending a request to a member for friendship, if I feel that he/she is a nice person and he/she posts quality discussions and
or replies interesting responses to my discussion.
I do receive many requests for friendship, after going through sender's profile, I normally approve them quickly.
I am thankful to those, who accepted me as their friend.

I do so, just want to know where they are from. And sometimes I was surprised by their profile performance. Some are so cool. ^_^

just like you, i am a very passive member here in mylot. i am afraid to add people as friends. i think i have added a few, a couple or so. usually, i just approve all those to ask to be my friend. i am also very thankful that they want to be my friend. i've met a lot of interesting people here in mylot. eventhough we are not friends outside mylot, i am very grateful i have met them. we don't share much but just being friends here matters a lot.

I think you've shared a deep insight of what we're building here in myLot: on-line friendship, a kind of virtual friendship. Thanks for this, Ratburn! You're right, we don't share much but just being friends here matters a lot! We have friends, even we don't meet them physically.

most of my friends are not really my friends..but that is living a life of quiet desperation..and getting let down so often..but i digress
friends on the commuter are ok..but they are just someone to chat or share a story with...like chewing gum for the mind...just something to do...but it is great fun and a cheap shrink!

Yes, I am pro active in inviting some new friends.But majority of my friends were all those responded my discussions and some also asking me to be one of their friends.

So far, I have approved all the people who asked for my friendship. I mean why shouldn't I? So far the people I have met here online is quite ok. Well, but there's not that much interaction, just simple hi and hellos, and meeting them in the posts.
Otherwise, everything is ok.
I'm just really sad because I have trouble finding referrals, I mean I did invite everyone I know but no one still joined. Oh well. Looks like it's going to be me by myself.

I understand what you mean, Laydee. I feel so. But I realize there are so many interests each of us has here in myLot. It must be a special reason to have further interactions. We can make it under the message tab above. I ever did that, of course it's start from me first. I think you could do that, Laydee.
About finding referrals, I experience like yours. So far I guess it's because of the language. It's quite difficult to find friends here in my country who wants to improve Inglish skill on-line seriously. For some of them English is spooky. Lol!
I have 7 referrals, but all are inactive. Hehehe...
