Colour & numbers on stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just reached 100 points & i got yellow colour & number 8 on the star but i am not really understanding what does it indicates.
Do u know what does it indicates?
Is there any specific reason for colour & number on star?
can any one tell me abt this colour & number on star?

The color of your star and the number inside of it stands for your Mylot reputation. The better your reputation here is at Mylot, the higher your number is and the color of the star changes to blue. Red is a 9 and blue is a 10 star rating. Keep doing a good job here and your number and star will change for the better.

From what I understand, it's like a karma system. The number is in an interval of 10 and it usually rounds off to the nearest figure like if it's 79, it'll round off to 80 with the star. I guess the colors of the star mean something good.
I think it has to do with positive responses and stuff like that. That make sense?

Usually it works like this, there's an option under friends and if you see a number beside it, you go there and check to see who wants to add you as a friend. You then have the option to add or not add at all.

It is nothing but your rating that is given by the mylot members on your postings and responses. It all depends on the positive and negative ratings that you get. So try to be as nice and post only useful and good replies only to get your ratings to 10, which is the maximum you can get, at least you have reached till 8, all the best.

I have been active here for several months and to be honest im not entirely sure what the meaning of them is because they dont effect anything for us on mylot. Mylot should either explain the point of them or scrap them all together in my opinion.
