Have you been in the hospital?

All my hospitals stays have been pregnancy related. When I was pregnant with my son I was in the hospital every month for a few days at the time because I had blood pressure problems. Then when I had him I had a C section so I had to stay in there a few more days. No other hospital stays other than that. Thank goodness! And this pregnancy I have not had any hospital stays so far.

I have been pregnant and had two children. I have had my gallbladder removed. I had to have appendix surgery while pregnant with my son. I had my tubes tied after my son was born. I also had a hernia operation. So yep had my fill of hospital stays.

Hey jbb316, The hospital stays I've had were b/c of pregnancy & once I got hit by a car crossing the street then once I was in a t-bone car accident & I got hit by an 18 wheeler driving on the interstate. That's all I can remember right now. +'s |:) ps none of those accident were my fault

Yep, a few times. I am one of those weird people though, I kind of liked it. I got to have the TV to myself, 3 meals fixed and brought to me and a limit of when people could call or come in. They also push you to sleep as much as possible. It's almost sad to leave.

I have been in the hospital a lot. But due to watching the patients or visiting them. But thank God I have never been admitted in. I pray I wouldn't need to unless I'm going to give birth. =) Anyways here's a somewhat funny joke but real about hospitals: A WOMAN, CALLING A LOCAL HOSPITAL, SAID, "HELLO, I'D LIKE TO TALK TO THE PERSON WHO GIVES THE INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR PATIENTS. I'D LIKE TO FIND OUT IF THE PATIENT IS GETTING BETTER, DOING AS EXPECTED OR IS GETTING WORSE." THE VOICE ON THE OTHER END OF THE LINE SAID, "WHAT IS THE PATIENTS NAME AND ROOM NUMBER?" SHE SAID, "SARA FINKLE, IN ROOM 302." "I WILL CONNECT YOU WITH THE NURSING STATION." "3-A NURSING STATION. HOW CAN I HELP YOU?" "I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE CONDITION OF SARA FINKLE IN ROOM 302." "JUST A MOMENT. LET ME LOOK AT HER RECORDS. OH YES, MRS. FINKLE IS DOING VERY WELL. IN FACT SHE'S HAD TWO FULL MEALS, HER BLOOD PRESSURE IS FINE AND HER BLOOD WORK JUST CAME BACK AS NORMAL. SHE'S GOING TO BE TAKEN OFF THE HEART MONITOR IN A COUPLE OF HOURS AND IF SHE CONTINUES THIS IMPROVEMENT. DR. COHEN IS GOING TO SEND HER HOME TUESDAY AT TWELVE O' CLOCK." THE WOMAN SAID," THANK GOD! THAT'S WONDERFUL" OH! THAT'S FANTASTIC. THAT'S WONDERFUL NEWS! " THE NURSE SAID," FROM YOUR ENTHUSIASM, I TAKE IT YOU MUST BE A CLOSE FAMILY MEMBER OR A VERY CLOSE FRIEND!" "NOT EXACTLY, I AM SARAH FINKEL IN ROOM 302! AND NOBODY HERE TELLS ME ANYTHING!" =)

Thats good that you haven't had to go to the hospital yet for your current pregnancy. The only times I've been in the hospital was twice when I was four years old. I had a hernia surgery and then I had to get my tonsils and adenoids removed. I also had really bad chicken pox at that age. That was a terrible year for me. I haven't needed to go to the hospital since. Thank goodness! I hate hospitals, they creep me out.

Not in a good 2 years since 2005 when I had to have a dose of steriods for being numb for almost a week because of ms. I haven't needed to since then.

I hate to stay at hospitals, I have been twice for pregnancies and once when I was about 6 with a broken wrist and elbow.

Yes, but not all of my hospital stays were pregnancy related. Once was when I was only 14 months old and I had to stay in the hospital because I had spinal meningitis. Another time was not for me, but for my youngest son who had to be hospitalized because of a bladder infection. I stayed by his side the entire time (well with the exception of using the bathroom, but that was in his hospital room). After I gave birth to my kids I stayed in the hospital for the 24 hour mandatory stay. I didn't want to stay any longer than I had to and the hospital staff knew this. LOL So once it was okay for my babies to go, I was outta there! :P
