Cats as Children

My husband and I see our cats as our little children!! We make sacrifies for them, they have their own special corner of the house, and of course we talk to them!! In the process of deciding whether to have children or not, maybe we should just have like 8 cats instead! Am I crazy? Does anyone see their pet as their child?

I have 3 cats and they are all like my little babies. The youngest one almost always sleep with me and a lot of the time he sleep in my arms like a little baby and kiss me all night. When I talk to him I always refer myself as mama and my boyfriend his papa and the other cats are his sister :)

My husband and I have no children, so our two cats are our kids. And sometimes they do act like kids as well, stubborn and picky over their food etc. :)

Of course you're not crazy! If I were married, I would choose cats over kids any day. I have three cats and regard each of them as my baby. If there was anything else I could do for any or all of them, I would!

I have 1 cat and i consider her as my child. Since i probably will never have children i guess she is the only one i will love without a doubt.

Me and my wife have 5 cats, of the 5, one stands out and we treat her as our own child...she lives inside our room, she have her own space on our bed and have her own pillow, she also have a toilet inside our CR. She's a Bed Hog!

No, you're not crazy. When i had a cat (and only 1) i had to give up my money to her (also money for my food)because i really loved that cat.

Of course. Our son is our son and he always will be and he does come first. After him, are our "fur children". Right now that is a pair of cats and a mouse. Just as human children are different; so is each "fur child". They each have their own requirements, abilities, and personalities. So what, if they are furry.

I am the same way! Me and my fianceƩ decided not to have children, and instead take care of our future cats. I've always felt a stronger bond towards animals rather than children, even the ones that I know well and have seen grow up. My fianceƩ doesn't care much for the little ones either, he prefers the company of animals.

I absolute love cats. Unfortunately, I don't have any though because my landlord won't allow them. Growing up I always had a lot of cats and I miss them a lot. Right now I have 2 chinchillas and I view them as my kids. They are so spoiled and my life practically revolves around them, lame or not.
