How do you make your croutons? I just love croutons in soups or in a salad like a Caesar salad but some croutons seem to taste better than others? What else do you put croutons in?

Hi there. Crouton are only bread, all you have to do is, toast as much as you like, and slice some bread into diced or cube shapes and put them all in a air tight plastic bag, give them shake around and there you have them...

Sometimes they are good in soup, but we mostly use them in salads. I chunk up a few cloves of peeled garlic in the small Magic Bullet container and then add both olive oil and Smart-Balance Omega-3 buttery spread, fresh grated Pecorino Romano, black pepper, and cayenne. After mixing, I spread this generously on whole grain sourdough bread and nuke it in the convection oven until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is heated through. After serving this bread with pasta, if there is any left over, it gets cut into croutons which are dried a bit for use on the next day's salad...unless somebody steals them all to eat plain for snacks, that is.
