My daughter is 10 months, she has started walking! She took some steps here and there last months, but now she is braving an entire room at a time! I am so excited! MY son started walking at 10 months too. I love these milestones! Just thought I'd share! =)

Do you track the milestones? So that you watch them progress? So when they are much older they can look back and see how they have come along? It is wonderful to see, that's what I miss, not having children so I can watch them grow up and marvel at their personal developments!

definitely I have complex baby books full of great info, first everything, favorite foods, it tracks every month from 1-12 and ends with the 1st birthday, as well as I have many scrapbooks of them. I am crazy about that stuff! There will not be a time of their life they cannot look back on and know how they grew and how things were. I love that stuff! =)

Hello stacyv81! I am really happy for you that your daughter started walking already at 10 months, Congratulations! Being a new father now, I can feel your emotions and sentiments. Isn't it just great to see them doing things that we love them to do the lovely way. Probably mothers have stronger emotions but fathers aren't that behind, I believe:-) My son is 6 months now, he already started sitting on his own, when he was 4 months old. He is already very active and said to be very intelligent and responsive. People think that he will start walking earlier too. Thanks for sharing your happy moments with us stacyv81!:-)

that is wonderful! Children are great! My son started walking at 10 months, too, HE didnt start crawling until a week before, so I thought it would take him longer but it didnt. This one started crawling at about 6 months. Thanks for sharing your moments as well! =)

How will you handle the new one to come, when one of your child is so small. Well its o.k. Take good care of them, when children are of nearabou equal age it becomes difficult to look afer them. Wish you all the Good Luck!!

Congratulations. These milestones are so exciting. And there are many more to come. I am now past seeing my two grandsons starting to walk. I am getting to relive those milestones through them and remember them about my son again. It is even exciting with grandchildren.

Well, I am happy for you. My daughter took her first steps around nine months but didn't do much afterwards. But, now that she's one she is walking on her own pretty much but still prefers to crawl sometimes.

Thats wonderful news Stacy. She is a fast learner. My grandson just started walking too but he is 13 months old. We didn't think he would walk early because he had such a bad start in life.

aw..that is so great! :) both my girls were just over a year when they started walking. they hit all their milestones at right about the same time. our son was due yesterday, but he's competing with his sisters for who can come the latest lol. i can't wait to see how he does hitting his milestones. my first was 3 days late, my second 5, so i'm wondering if he'll shoot for 6 or 7 days late lol.

lol! It seems mine were competing to be the earliest, I went into early labor with them both, but it was stopped. then they came about the right time. I am wondering how this one is going to be. So, wow, you are ready for the baby huh? Well, I hope things will go smoothly for you when he is ready to come. I pray you have a wonderful quick and easy delivery! =)

nothing is more exciting for a mother than to be able to witness milestones in her child's life. these are very important events that we treasure in our memories forever... ur at least, until they become teenagers and do unacceptable behavior and we think, where's my baby gone? anyway, stacyv, i'd have to say, cherish this moment. i did too when i had the same experience. :-)

I was so happy when my little one walked for the first time, she was kind of advanced but probably because she was late at coming out :) I had a scheduled C Section & when they got her out, they said she could have come out sooner! She took her first steps just before she was 8 months & then by 8 1/2 months she was walking - it was just suck a quick step up from crawling to walking :) Mind you, she crawled & walked before she'd sick up on her own - isn't that just odd - but she's 13 months now & completely unstoppable, her little legs are go, go, go & she runs everywhere ^_^ I have those milestone books too - the hospital in the city gives them away with every birth & since my SIL was given 2 when she had her twins (& she has never kept records of anything) so she gave one to me & one to her sister since they were both born just 1 day apart! This one does the month by month record until they're 1 & then it continues yearly until they're 5 so you can keep birthday & Xmas records for the 5/6 years! It's really good - i think i have about 3 of these milestone books so if something happens to 1, i have the other 2 to fall back on - LOL!

yes I have those complex baby books as well, show first everythings, months 1-12, first holidays, things that happened that year, etc. I have those for both of my kids as well as scrapbooks, you could say their lives are well documented =) wow, so you've had your hands fulll for a while! That is cool that the hospital gives them to you. That is great! I love the whole baby book thing, Everytime I come home from the doctor I have to get it out and write the things down. I love that stuff! =)

My oldest dauhgter was also 10 months old when she started walking, my little one began to walk about 2 weeks after her 1st birthday. It is fun to keep track of the milestones and watch your kids similarities and their differences too. :)

A great milestone Stacy, congratulations. I'll be interested in hearing all the stories that happen from now on i.e. pulling down clothes, table cloths, getting into the cupboards etc, that would be a laugh!
