Have you ever been on a diet and lost weight or not lost weight. What kind of plans have you tried and what worked best for you?

I quit dieting and lost weight. For me everytime I thought about having to cut back made me want more. I just reduced my portions, ate everything I wanted but just ate less. I switched from regular soda to diet, cut back on salt, quit eating leftovers(I grew up in an era where they wanted you to clean your plate) and watched my sugar intake by cutting it out of my coffee. I initally lost over sixty pounds and have kept most of it off. But I have to watch it all the time.....yuck!
