500th post

I reached that first milestone - a 500 rating beside my name. Yippie yippie yeah! I didn't think it would be a big deal, but I am sort of happy about it. I already noticed a difference. There is now a "Add an image" button when I'm making a comment. So I'll have to think about doing that more. And myLot will now let me copy/cut/paste. So when I want to move a paragraph, after I cut it and find out I can't paste it, I won't have to try to remember what I had just typed. Or when I want to give a URL, I can copy/paste it instead of having to write it all down so I get it right. From those of you who are already there, are there other benefits I haven't noticed? Thanks to all for your great discussions so I could make comments to get here, and for commenting on my discussions so that I got credit for them.

Hi, I am back...and I guess you noticed that you received my best response for your funny comments about my 'thinker' going even when I am sick. Anyway I did post another thinking discussion about giving and receiving and am about to sign off. It was important to me to drop by and add a comment to your discussions because I appreciate your regular visits to perspectives and saw your 500 post acheivement. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I can appreciate why you are excited...I am breathing down your back...and am about 15 away from making my 500. Thanks for letting me know about the additional perks you receive when you get there. I knew about the cutting and pasting but was not aware of the other benefits. So hopefully now I am getting over my 'bug' I'll have more time to push to the finish line and post a similar "YEAH...I did it message" just like you. Good on you DanaMark...you deserve it...you give a lot to your friends and the site. Truly signing off now...but we'll be in touch...that I know for sure.

I've noticed you breathing down my back. I think you are getting there faster than I did. It won't take you long. Thanks for the best response again. I appreciate it.

Congrats on making 500!!Sometimes the first 500 are the hardest to reach .It amazed me at the speed it took to reach where I am at(whatever it is) as a part-time member. It is good to set obtainable goals and now that you have reached one of yours, what goal will you set next?1000?

Congratulations on your 500th post. Actually that's the second milestone. The first is 100, when you get your star with your rating number in it. Mine has been sitting at a 9 for quite a while, and I'm happy with that.

I didn't notice the star appeared at 100. I guess I missed a milestone and didn't even know it. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll have to look back on the calendar for last month and be excited on one of those days. lol.

It is funny but a few times before I reached 500, the add image button was there when I was making a comment. One thing lately is that I seem to only get credit for one image added to a comment even if I add a new one to a comment on a completely different discussion. This has happened a couple of times at least. It is convient to be able to copy and paste especially if you want to put links in your discussion or comment.

Congrats on reaching that milestone. Yes, it is a bit irritating when that message comes out on your screen "You cannot paste". I find it particularly difficult when I want to give the URL of a web site. All the best! Keep going. Thanks.

Yes, the magic 500 is a milestone I am looking forward to as well! I like to write things first and then correct and improve things, but until I get to 500 my only choice is to print and copy into ML, not the most effective way of doing things! I was not aware of the "Add an image" with 500, but I think that is a good idea, as it gives more interest to whatever one writes!

All the best... - All the best dear. Keep posting and reap in the money...
Man, that's quite a milestone.. I am also close to achieving that. It wud be better to cut/copy/paste now since most of the time internet gets disconnected and u lose ur response. So, before pressing the submit button, it would be better to copy that response of urs to sm temporary file. I am looking fwd to enjoying this benefit soon. All the best to u...

Hey! Congratulations! Yea, I never thought that cut and paste is such a big deal back when I was midway m 500th post. Then I experienced needing to cut and paste or copy some texts but I cannot do it. Every time I try to, there was always that pop-up note that says I have to reach 500 before I can cut and paste. It was kind of frustrating having to re-type and yes, remember what it was you have re-type. So I really felt ecstatic when finally I hit the mark. Whew! At long last! Again, congratulations and keep on posting!

Congratulations. I know before I hit that mark I wanted and needed to desperately. I have a problem with spelling and I feel so much better about posting now. The ability to copy, spell check, then paste back makes it so much better. Good for you.

From what I understand, your star rating will appear after your ranking number beside your name reaches 100. That ranking number goes up one each time you post a comment on someone's discussion, or after the first comment on a discussion you started. You only get one for a discussion you start. You can move your star rating higher until it reaches a 10 by posting good comments on people's discussions. Be sure you post more than one-liners for comments and discussions. Make thoughtful comments. That will help.
