Good luck charms

I don't believe in them but lots of people use them...I agree with you...you make your own luck.

I think we are our own good luck charms and the way we carry ourselves has a lot to do with our "luck." However, as long as one does not become overly dependent upon the object, I sure don't see any harm in people carrying a charm if it brings comfort. When I did office work in a hectic environment, I used to keep a small open shot glass filled with polished amethyst gemstone pebbles out on my desk. When someone came up in a hurry, demanding something, they would often knock the grass over and all the gemstones would spill out on my desk. Instead of dropping everything to respond to unreasonable demands, I would calmly pick my gemstones up one by one, and put them back into the glass, thinking how best to quietly and calmly help the careless person who knocked them over. After a while, people learned to approach my desk more respectfully.
