How often do you forget to eat?

I was on my way out last night, with plans to stay out for quite a while, and realized as I was driving that I had forgotten to eat my dinner. I looked for someplace to stop and grab something, but nothing sounded appealing. So I just went on, and forgot that I had forgotten to eat. When my fiance showed up, after he got off work, I told him that I had forgotten to eat, and he told me to get food, but by this point it was past 10 p.m., and there was no place nearby to get food. So I waited till we got home to eat. It's better than I used to be--at one point I would go an entire day without eating, just because eating wasn't convenient to my schedule. How often do you simply forget to eat, or choose to forgo eating in order to do other things?

I can't, if I do I get horrendous headaches complete with nausea - or I shouldn't. I forget anyway -now because of the baby, other times because I live early for work/school and get caught up. I used to write a lot more and at that time I wuld get so caught up in writing a longer story that I would forget all else, caught in another world. As much as I can I try to eat six small meals. This way, I avoid headsches and I'm not so hungry for the next meal. That said, life will get in the way! Thanks for the great topic!

You know, I did end up feeling really nauseous last night, and I didn't connect the two! I thought I was just too warm, and not getting enough fresh air! I guess it's good that my fiance made me eat before I went to bed, and I was still plenty hungry when I woke up this morning.

Once upon a time , I would have told you you were crazy, that people cannot forget to eat....but since Thor's been gone, I often find I eat dinner well after 10 p.m. and on occassion it's the only thing I eat. Usually my medication and vitamins make me sick if I don't eat, but with the heat, nothing sounds good and it's too hot to cook, so yeah, lately, it's a good thing that I drink moslty fruit juice.

Oh, I remember those days of too hot to cook. We've only had a couple of them out here, which has been nice. Fruit juice probably helps a lot, and if nothing else, it's plenty of water intake, which is definitely good.

That happens to me when I get involved in something...like answering discussions on Mylot. :-) Or working around the house or in my garden. I just loose track of time and before you know it, its 3:00 o'clock in the afternoon and I haven't had my first meal yet for the day.

I will usually remember to eat in the morning, but yeah, I've often had lunch at 3 p.m. or later, because I just got so caught up in doing other things!

I pretty much can always forget to eat. Unless I'm at home doing nothing, then I might eat just simply out of boredom. But I've always been that way. Where I easily just forget to eat and don't realize until it's just too late or way to inconvenient to even bother eating. I don't eat lunch on a daily basis at work but I always bring snacks to munch on in case I get hungry and half the time I forget that I even had snacks to eat until I get home!

I do that most of the time. I thought it was just me lol. Sometimes I'm just not hungry at mealtimes so I don't bother and then when I do get hungry I figure I may as well wait till tea time and eat then. Often I figure I will eat when the children are in bed but I just don't get round to it and then it's like 9pm so what's the point? Saying that though, I find that if I go for a few days hardly eating that I will then over-compensate and just eat all day because I am ravenous. Don't know if this is healthy but it seems to be the way I am. I prefer to 'graze' rather than stick to set meal times which can be hard when adhering to the kids routine.

I'm one of those people who prefers grazing, too. I just need to work at actually keeping "grazable" food in the apartment. Most of the time I run into this "there is nothing to eat" problem!

If I am really nervous or really busy I will skip meals and forget to eat. But usually I must eat or I got dizzy and headaches. I have low blood sugar so I must eat. But hey this could be a good thing if you want to lose weight. Although if you are missing so many meals I can't imagine that is the case. Well I think you should be careful and not skip eating meals too often.

Oh wow. I so wish that I could do that...my waistline would look so much better. Sadly, I love to eat and often have to make myself WAIT to eat. Now if I am really excited about something and very involved with it, I can forget to eat, but that is a VERY rare occurance. For instance, if I am out shopping and going from sale to sale, I will not even think about food. But more often than not, I am anxiously awaiting the next meal!

I do it all the time but it's usually lunch for me. I'll get busy doing something and it will just not enter my mind. I'll usually remember around the time I have to start making dinner and by that point I'm starving....I'm very easily distracted.

I find that I frequently forget to eat if I am busy or distracted in some way. There are days when I can be out and about, busy and getting things done around the house, and suddenly it is late in the day and I haven't eaten anything. I often skip breakfast, very bad I know, but having skipped one meal it seems I can easily skip others.

I must admit, this rarely happens to me. My blood sugar is very tepremental and if I don't eat at least little snacks during the day I can either get really cranky, or rather faint. So I try to carry an emergency snack with me in case I'm not somehere I can get something to eat. It's saved me a few times. That said, when I am really super stressed I loose my appitite and tend not to eat for the whole day. Maybe I will have something by the ned of the day, but it's usually something pretty low maintainence and bland. When I am happy though I love food :-)

nice question, but the answer is no, i never forget to eat... i guess partly because i love food too much LOL! i feel hungry whenever its breakfast, lunch, dinner and when i feel hungry i eat, i also eat in between meals too! i know its unhealthy to eat too much junk food in between meals, but i just can't help it, my mouth wont stop, after dinner i usually get an apple out and start eating it, afterwards, when watching television, i begin to munch on some biscuits too... however, interestingly, i am not fat or overweight... im actually quite think... around 56kg, male 18 years old... i guess i just have high metabolism

a lot of times i tend to forget to eat especially when i have so much to do or in a rush. i make it a point to have at least a hard candy in my purse just in case i really get hungry and no food on sight.

I do this quite often - about once a week. I start working, and a whole day goes by before i notice I haven't eaten. I'm working on planning my meals better, so that I don't forget to eat.

I don't forget to eat ever.. My tummy starts making unusual sounds when it gets out of stock!!! I have never forgotten to eat in my entire life... Maybe in the future when I get busy with my work, it may happen, but till now it has never happened... Till now, even I am busy, i find time to eat something.. I can't resist eating when I am hungry...

As much as I want to forget to eat, I just can't! huhuhu this is really my problem.. Yeah maybe I do forget sometimes especially when I am on the net or when I'm outside at school (there's no time to eat at my school) but then my mom would beckon in chinese "Dinner or Lunch time!" And then my stomach would rumble so I'd go eat. Sometimes I even feel hungry when I'm not supposed too... I do wish I could go on all day without eating...

I hardly forget to eat. No matter how busy I am, I would grab a bite whenever I'm hungry. If it is late night and I'm hungry, I would eat very little because it is hard to get to sleep if you're hungry.

I probably forget to eat about once a week. I don't know why, I just get involved with something and it completely slips my mind.

I'm constantly forgetting meals because I'm caught up in other activities! just today, I forgot to eat until 1.30pm. It didn't even occur to me until I got this sudden burst of hunger that I had to fill. =P
