I have not read it yet either. A friend of our family, bought it right away and read it within a few days. He loaned it to may daughter, who read it in a day and a half. Then my son read it and they gave it back before I had a chance to read it. I have read the others, my kids own them, but mostly to keep up with what the kids are reading. I can't possibly read everything they read, but I thought it would be nice to keep up with this series with them.

I have to admit I have not read one Harry Potter book. My daughter got one in paperback (probably the first one) several years ago and never read it. She has no interest in Harry Potter either. My 11 year old has seen a couple of the movies and has shown interest in reading that lone book we have in the house. If she wants to read more I will either check online for cheaper prices, the secondhand book stores or the library.

Why not just get it out of the library? Round here it was also only £5 in the supermarket, so not expensive at all really, but I would have borrowed it otherwise. Also, consider how cheap books are compared to a meal out or a film, look at how many hours pleasure you get for your money. Its not expensive at all really.

Nope. I have books 1-5 but only read up to the 4th one. I found it disappointing that alot of what is in the books isn't in the movies so now I just wait for the movies to come out and then read the book. AT PEACE WITHIN
